Question & Answer Sessions In Atlanta!
One of the real treats of our fanfest weekends is our opening night question-and-answer sessions with some of wrestling's all-time greats. These Q&As are open to VIPs only.
Masked Superstar Q&A Kicks Off Opening Night!
Four-time Georgia Heavyweight champion, international wrestling legend and 2011 Hall of Heroes honoree The Masked Superstar kicks off our NWA Wrestling Legends Fanfest Weekend in Atlanta with a question-and-answer session on Thursday night, August 4.
This is your opportunity to interact with one of the all-time great masked men in an up close, intimate setting. Not only will you have a chance to hear him speak about his unforgettable, record-setting Georgia feud with Mr. Wrestling II; there are no limits to the discussion. The Mongols, Demolition, The Machines, ask whatever questions you'd like.
The Q&A is set to begin at 6:05 p.m. at Atlanta's Airport Marriott hotel.
20/20 Revisited: Eddie Mansfield, David Schultz Q&A!
Former NWA Southeastern tag team champions in Ron Fuller's Knoxville territory, "The Continental Lover" Eddie Mansfield and "Doctor D" David Schultz -- both blond and daring -- had established themselves in wrestling rings throughout the south, but both are probably most remembered for a fateful night in December 1984.
The wrestling industry was thriving. Jim Crockett Promotions had just produced two wildly successful supercards called "Starrcade," and Vince McMahon's WWF was on the cusp of it's first Wrestlemania. Mainstream media attention was at an all-time high. Along come's John Stossel, an aspiring investigative reporter for ABC News and it's weekly primetime show "20/20." Although both Mansfield and Schultz' appearances on the show weren't related, both dropped bombshells that were felt throughout the industry.
Now more than 26 years later, Mansfield and Schultz will sit down together in front of a live audience at this year's NWA Wrestling Legends Fanfest Weekend in Atlanta and, for the first-time ever, discuss candidly exactly what took place leading up to the national television appearance as well as the aftermath. Never before have these two men come together to discuss that fateful night. But it all happens Thursday night, August 4, during an opening night question-and-answer session at next month's Atlanta reunion.
You don't want to miss this!
The Q&A is set to begin at 8:05 p.m. Thursday, August 4 at Atlanta's Airport Marriott hotel.
Final Opening Night Q&A Features Stan Hansen!
Former AWA World champion and one of the all-time greats, Stan Hansen, will be our special guest for fanfest's final opening night Q&A.
His new book "The Last Outlaw" will be available for the very first time anywhere at our NWA Wrestling Legends Fanfest Weekend!
The book, written by Stan with the help of Scott Teal (who has co-authored books with Ole Anderson, Ivan Koloff, Joe Hamilton, Tony Atlas, Bill De Mott, and several others,) weighs in around 400 pages and is destined to become one of the top-tier books ever written about professional wrestling.
Fanfest attendees will be able to buy their copy of "The Last Outlaw" and have it personally autographed by Stan a full four days before anyone else will even be able to order one. It will be available to order from Crowbar Press on August 8.
The question-and-answer session with Stan Hansen gets underway at 10:05 p.m. Thursday night, August 4 and is open to all fanfest VIPs.
