Sting Vs Flair???
LOD vs Russians???
MX vs RNR's ???

any others that you think would have been the best angle???

Although the bullet points made reflect "feuds" instead of actual "angles"...in reference to the time frame noted, it's hard to dispute against the specific angle of the Horsemen/ Dusty parking lot attack.

Also one that sticks in my mind is the Dusty/ Tully/ Magnum baseball bat angle on TBS in 1988.

In no particular order....
1. Barry Windham joining the horsemen
2. Nikita's face turn
3. Terry Funk attacking Flair at Wrestle War 89

There were many.... not sure that any of these would necessarily qualify as the "greatest ever", but each had it's own significance as well as countless others

For me as to be Nikita's face turn.

I still remember watching TBS, and seeing Rhodes coming to the ring and Nikita behind him...I though Nikita was going to clothesline Rhodes, but then helps Rhodes against the Horsemen had me in disbelief.

This was one of the first times that I saw World Championship Wrestling in Canada, when our Cable station decided to give us TBS for a few months, before that I could only follow the NWA in magazines.

Nikita turning good and joining up with Dusty and Windham joining the Horsemen would be the two best for me.  Funk attacked Flair would be third.

Good one here......

Cornette/Baby Doll angle was very good.

Windham joining the Horsemen was very good because that is when they all got the belts. I think that was the greatest Horsemen tandem of them all.

Definitely Nikita turning face was good after the accident.

The Midnights w/Cornette vs. Orginial Midnights w/Paul E (which was ended way too soon)

Another good Cornette angle...him burning Ronnie Garvin which led to Jimmy Garvin turning.

Nikita vs. Magnum was very hot for 86.

Dusty had some good programs but the one that sticks out the most was he and Tully of course because they had some many scenerios for the feuds. Dusty getting the services of Baby Doll, Dusty fighting him for the TV title, Dusty fighting him for the National title. Also Dusty vs. Flair was good but Dusty vs. Tully was better because it had some many scenerios.

GREATEST ANGLE EVER............Tully vs. Magnum which led to the famous I Quit match is probably the best angle all around. For the short time of the feud it was definitely hot. Magnum kissing Baby Doll was awesome, then him and Tully fighting on the set afterwards made it even better.

I loved the angle when the Horsemen kicked Sting out in Corpus Christi, Texas. Total shock to me but a great Horsemen moment.

How come no one mentioned Ric Flair's Dream Date with Precious?  Grin

Actually my vote goes to The 4 Horsemen breaking Dusty's hand in the parking lot, which led to Nikita's face turn.

You're thinking of The James Boys which were Dusty and Magnum under masks as "Frank and Jesse"

Here is waht I can think of right off the top.I base this on standing out in memory, drawing interest in a feud, and most importantly making me want to spend money to see the resolution.

- Terry Funk attacks Ric Flair at Wrestle War 89 and turns him babyface setting up their ultra hot feud

- Ricky Steamboat returns as Eddie Gilbert's mystery partner to face Ric Flair and Barry Windham in the tag team match at teh old TBS studios

- Barry Windham joins the 4 Horsemen

- Nikita Koloff turns babyface to team with Duty Rhodes vs Ole Anderson & JJ Dillon in the cage match in Charlotte

- Jim Cornette & the Midnight Express attack Baby Doll setting up the America's Team/James Boys vs Midnight Express feud

- Dusty and Magnum show up under hoods as the James Brothers and beat the Midnight Express at the TBS studios

- Paul E Dangerously and the Original Midnight Express show up in the studio and attack Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express

- Ole & Arn Anderson return in November 89 to save Ric Flair from Muta, Buzz Sawyer, and Dragon Master in a wild brawl all over Center Stage

- Mgnum TA & Nikita Koloff get into it at the US Title match press conference leading to Magnum getting stripped of the US Title and the Best of 7 Series taking place to fill the title

- Horsemen rub Ricky Morton's face in the concrete in Grenville after Morton had pinned Ric Flair in the 6 man elimination tag

-  Dusty goes nuts in the

- Dusty goes nuts in the TBS studios with the baseball bat after Tully had punched a defenseless Magnum TA

- Ric Flair and the Andersons break Dusty's leg in the cage in Atlanta after Dusty had saved Flair from the Russians

- Sting gets kicked out of the Horsemen

Jim Cornette burns Ron Garvin and Jimmy Garvin becomes a babyface to save him

- anything between the Rock n Roll Express and Midnight Express as well as anything between the Road Warriors and the Russians

The formation of The Four Horsemen will always be the greatest angle of all time.  It created some of the greatest feuds, matches, and sneak attacks ever in the business. Plus, each of the original were great behind the microphone, thus, creating some of the best interviews ever.

I REALLY liked when Barry Windham turned on Lex Luger and joined the Horsemen--on so many levels.

Reading this thread really brought up some great memories...  Some memorable mathes, not necessarily feuds or angles, which to me really sold the NWA/WCW as a true "wrestling" company was Barry Windham vs. Bam Bam Bigelow at Starrcade 1988, where you could see the intensity in Barry - screaming "He's mine JJ", as though he were selling a real contest...  It brought passion to the match, and to me was memorable...

Also the intensity of Sting vs. Rick Rude in 1991 after Sting was attacked at a Clash of Champions and came back to wrestle anyway...  I miss those days where you were sold on the idea that you were watching a contest, and it wasn't just garbage time...  The wrestling WAS the main attraction...
