There will never be another one like him. He was truely one of the most agile big men to grace the squared circle.
My early memories of Scott "Bam Bam" Bigelow go back to the later 80's when I would watch him in clips on Pro Wrestling This Week (that was hosted by Joe Pedicino and Bonnie Blackstone) or read about him in the pages of PWI, The Wrestler, Inside Wrestling, etc. He quickly became a star in Japan working with the great Antonio Inoki amongst others. Later he would find success in the WWF under the tuteledge of Sir Oliver Humperdink. Bam Bam coming into the WWE was a big deal at it's time because of all the managers fighting over the services of him. It is too bad Bam Bam never got the title shot at Hogan. Later on he would resurface in the NWA close to its final days under Jim Crockett Promotions to do a brief stint chasing the US title that was held by Barry Windham. Well we will skip overthe next stint in WCW because that was Jim Herd era and no one likes to remember much from those days. Bam Bam landed back up in the WWE and had a very good run there this time with a memorable match that had him main event Wrestlemanina vs. Lawrence Taylor. Bam Bam did a good job of carrying Taylor to a passable match. Bam Bam cooperated and did his part. The best stint for Bam Bam though has to come when he made his debut in ECW. There is where Bam Bam made a impact. I remember watching on MSG Network when he hurled Spike Dudley into the crowd at the ECW arena and also I remember him beating Shane Douglas to win the ECW World Heavyweight Title in Queens, NY in front of a rowdy crowd. Bam Bam also went on to have some very memorable matches vs. Tazz. He would go on to hold the ECW World TV Title during his stay there (a title which he lost to RVD).
Bam Bam Bigelow was last seen on WCW TV in its final days in 2001. He had a brief feud with Goldberg but nothing really major was done with him there (no surprise, we are talking about WCW you know).

I am glad to have been able to see some very good momemnts with Bam Bam Bigelow and it is a shame now one of our true wrestling legends is gone. He will always be remembered and never forgotten. R.I.P Bam Bam. Now maybe heaven will get to see the feud that they need to see once again....Bigelow vs. Gordy.

My 1st memories of Scott were in the 80's when he wrestled for Fritz Von Erich as Crusher Yurkoff I thought anyone with that kinda talent was going to do big things in the business

As far as big time titles were concerned he didn't but as far as being loved and respected he did My condolences to his friends and family particularly Sir Oliver who managed him in the WWF

This one hurts alot guys

Oh man, I just heard about this. RIP, Scott. He really had a tough go of it in the past few years with the motorcycle accident and other problems. God bless his family and friends.

While in Memphis, I managed Bam Bam for a time, when Larry Sharpe wasn't around.  He was always nice and had a great disposition.  Always upbeat and great respect for the industry.  Its a real sad day.  My condolences to his family and friends.

What a loss for wrestling. Bam Bam was a legend in my hometown of Neptune, NJ. We both went to Neptune High School (many years apart) and he was partially responsible for putting Asbury Park on the map. He was a neighborhood guy up until a few years ago when he left NJ altogether. I ran into him alot at the supermarket, the mall and at his favorite pizzaria in Ocean, NJ call Rizzo's. (His photo is on their wall of fame). Probably the best big man ever.

He will be missed.

Without a doubt, Bam Bam was one of, if not the best, big man in the ring. It was amazing to see a man of his size, move like he did. He will be missed. My prayers go out to his family.

For what it's worth, the Associated Press picked up Scott's death. According to report, no foul play is suspected. Said his brother found his body.

Here's a cool video of Bam Bam from a news story in 1986. Shows him getting his head tattooed.
