This is from Nick Roberts' 1967 journal. The page on the left is for the matches on the TV show the preceding Saturday (January 14) and the page on the right is for the Lubbock house show card at the Fair Park Coliseum the following Wednesday night, January 18, 1967...
From the journal, we can see...
January 14, 1967 TV matches (I believe airing from 4:20-5:20 p.m.) included Dick Steinborn vs. Dory Funk Jr., Art Nelson vs. Silento Rodriguez, and Alex Perez vs. Brute Bernard.
The January 18, 1967 Lubbock card drew 1390 people, headlined by Dick Steinborn winning by disqualification in his match against Art Nelson. Also on the card, Professor Tanaka again beat Dan Miller, Brute Bernard vs. Pat O'Connor, Silento Rodriguez and Dory Funk Sr. beat The Reptiles, and Bobby Duncum beat Jack Cain
You can see the dollar figures noted next to each wrestler denoting their pay for the evening. (Dory Funk Sr., even on the undercard, was the highest paid this night, even if only $1 more than the four main-eventers. ***See note below.) Near the bottom, you'll also see amounts listed for transportation costs for O'Connor, as well as other expenses.
The $651 figure noted in the top right corner is the total amount paid the wrestlers, referee, plus the TV costs and $10 paid to "Powell." Not quite sure who "Powell" is at this point.
***The "$1 more" strikes me as odd here and confirms to me, at least, that Dory Funk Sr. was the top dog here. In some of my financial dealings with this sport's legends, I've often been told 'I want a dollar more than' so-and-so. I've heard it so much that I think it may have been common practice at one point. That's just a personal observation, though, and maybe something that could be commented on by some of our legends here on the forum.
