Guys, do you realize how very insensitive that is? And how stupid it is to repeat a "rumor" ? And you ask for everyone's "thoughts" on your "rumor" ?  
 
Come on, man. If you want to ask how someone is doing or where they're at that's fine but, in the future, don't repeat "rumors" such as this. Reason? Because you just spread your rumor to many more people, a lot of which will repeat the same thing with no basis of fact.

Whatever your intent, what you did -- spreading a "rumor" -- is irresponsible.
 
Now, you know what's going to happen 2, 5, or 10 years from now when someone posts a question or asks a question about Manny? Someone's gonna say "Well, I heard he was living in his van."
 
All that with absolutely no basis in fact.
 
You can address your rumor in another way, without continuing to spread the rumor. Simply asking if someone knew where/how Manny is would have been sufficient.
 
I'm sorry if you don't understand my point in this. I'm not trying to be offensive or rude to you, or anyone, but this could've been done in another way.

You know I agree there. I had a few people ask me about him within the last year and my response was I do not know where he is. Would be good to know his where abouts though. He was a very good performer in thering, his matches with Arn Anderson were classics. Also had a very memorable feud with Wahoo McDaniel.  
   But to end this, if someone knows where he is at, we would love to know. And I am very sure he is not living in a van down by the river (quote from Chris Farley of Saturday Night Live fame...R.I.P).

last I heard of Manny, he had cancer but wasn't getting it treated. I haven't heard an update in a while.

the last i saw of manny was one night many years ago at the greenville mem. aud. in s.c., after a match he had some type of altercation with a fan and i never saw him in macw again, although i know he has competed since then but it must have been pretty major that night. he was a great performer. undecided

I met Manny at a David Allan Coe concert at a little dive in Hickory.  He was promoting a wrestling event that they were going to have the following week.  This must have been around '97-'98.  I talked to him for awhile, and he was great.  He was beyond nice to me and my buddy.  One of my best experiences in meeting a wrestler.

I read about  a year and 1/2 ago  manny was out in california coaching high school sports  
 
I also read about some sort of cancer that he was not getting treated
 
 
Manny would be an awsome guest  he fits the complete mold of what a FANFEST GUEST should be  from what I remember Manny was a very popular babyface back in the mid eighties. I also remember his heel run with Rick Rude  when they were tag champs and came out to  We Will Rock You.
 
I have a great 8x10 in my collection of them with the belts...

I talk to him about once a week.
Has cancer amd is getting it treated.  
Recently, a tumor was found in his brain, and they were contemplating surgery or not.
I'm running an event in Giddings Texas, in June and the Ragin Bull will be there signing autographs.
He was coaching HS wrestling in Morgan Hill, Ca, till another coach smarted off to him, and Manny slapped him. Was living in San Diego, but traveled and did some shows in Texas, with me, and Mississippi, and trained some guys in Denton Texas.
We did a tribute show for him in San Antonio, drew a couple of hundred people, Chavo Guerrero made a special appearance.
He's re-locating to El Paso, Tx and is looking into running a small promotion in that area.
He doesn't live in a van, and doesn't even own one.

I remember Manny had gotten a speeding ticket from a kannapolis nc city police and ripped it up on tv and said that what i think about this ticket. You got to love the guy

Manny Fernandez will be at S.W.L. Pro Wrestling Show at the Mooresville Armory on June 30 2007 starts at 7pm. He will be signing and maybe even wrestle if there is a no show. He is staying in Concord NC and is working on his Autobiography.
