i am loving this site, along with mid atlantic gateway...oh man those were the days in wrestling, i went to most of my matches as a kid and teenager to the greenville memorial auditorium, s.c. and the anderson s.c. receration center,as well as a few spot shows in various ga. towns.
 i guess when i first started watching mid atlantic , johnny weaver was the big deal, and johnny valentine would put up his 1000 silver dollars, and wahoo and gosh on and on the memories go,then came flair and steamboat,that was all classic stuff.
  i am 40 years old now, so if that helps you figure my era in the crockett promotion,i also thought i had found a goldmine when cable tv came to my small town and i could get a glimpse of ga. championship wrestling!!! awesome shows,i sure miss jim crockett promotions!!!

Martin welcome to our board I'm almost 40 myself and I come from that same era I miss Crockett Promotions too especially now compared to the stuff(for lack of a better term)I'm seeing now

hey martin,. glad you found this place. there are alot of good informed people on this board. and some real fine, eggs too. hope you have found a new place to call home and come to fanfest in august.  
BTW, i just turned 41. i have sporadic memories of JCP during the '70's. but by 1980...it was on!!! JCP was it!! because of one person..the masked superstar. that tournament that he won the TV title in..and the teaming with john studd as MS #2, made me a HUGE fan. to this day, i am a fan. and bill eadie is one of the most coridal people i have ever met in the business.

I would have to agree , I stayed up all night checking out this site and reliving the days I stayed at my grand parents house on weekends and watched wrestling. It was so much fun. As a matter of fact I just had a show in mount pleasant nc on april 21 with george south and barbarian. My grandmother was special  guest commissioner and had the time of her life. I just wish my grandfather would have been here to see it.
