Man, I loved going to wrestling at the Rec Center.  I was just a little kid, but I remember the smoke and the heat and the smell of popcorn.  I remember being so close to the ring as the blood would fly and the wrestlers would tumble out and fight inches from the fans.  Ron Garvin, Jos Leduc, Mongolian Stomper, Gorgeous George, jr, Bob Orton, Malenko, the list goes on.  
 
Anybody from the board ever go to the weekly matches in Johnson City?

This is exactly what I am looking for - the heat, smoke, smell of popcorn, blood flying, etc.  
 
I am writing an article about professional wrestling, in Appalachia, and fans' thoughts, feelings, and emotions watching wrestling on TV and in person back in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and early 90s.
