Wrestling At The Chase

How many people remember wrestling at the Chase. Absolutely one of the very best wrestling shows. So many great stars passed through the Chase. From Harley Race to Greg Valentine to Bruno Sammartino. Those were the good ole days!

Anybody up here in Canada that has the Fight Network, we get Wrestling at the Chase every week, it's sweet!  Grin

I just wish the Fight Network would show some of the older shows, instead of the early 80s, get into like the early 70s or something, that would be even better!

Agent Sands: No. I'll shoot the cook. My car's parked out back anyway.

I have a strong appreciation for promotions and TV shows that present wrestling as wrestling.  I had never seen Wrestling At The Chase until the video collection was released.  On instinct I bought the whole set, and it was money SO well spent.  In my opinion the style, respect, and credibility St Louis had made other top promotions of the era look second rate in comparison. It was that good.

I agree. Wrestling at the Chase was the program. It focused on professional wrestling and delivered it with quality. Sam M. is the great wrestling promoter of all time.

I live in St. Louis and attended just about every show that was held at the Chase and Kiel Auditorium.  The greatest stars of wrestled at both places: Pat O'Connor, Dick the Bruiser, Rufus R. Jones, Dory Sr, Jr and Terry Funk.  I even remember seeing Butch Reed (at that time he was Bruce Reed) in his first match.  Hopefully, Butch will be at fanfest.  I still have some of the old programs from the 70"s and 80"s.  I am planning to bring them to fanfest with me and hopefully get them autographed.
