When did he come in? I thought it was late '88/ early '89? Anyone?

Bam Bam Bigelow w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink came into the NWA in September/October 1988. He went on to wrestle Barry Windham for the U.S. title at Starrcade '88 and then he was gone by January 1989, if memory serves me correctly.

He came back in, this time as a heel, in 1990, wrestled Tommy Rich at the Clash of Champions XI in Charleston, S.C., that June. But he wasn't around long then, either, IIRC.

I rememberb when Bigelow and Humperdink showed up on TBS in the fall f 1988. I was realy surprised since so many top guys were leaving at that point. It felt good to see some talent coming in the door instead of going out. They had just lost Tully, Arn, Ron Garvin, Jimmy Garvin, Rock n Roll Express, and Tim Horner.

Bigelow had a great feud going with Barry Windham, and the whoosh he was gone. He took off to Japan and didn't come back until the spring of 1990 when he joined up with Kevin Sullivan and Cactus Jack.

Bigelow moved around amazingly well for  guy that size. He was a lot of fun to watch and he had the look to really stand out on any roster.

RIP Bam Bam. God bless you.
