Check out the Mid-Atlantic Gateway for a link to a video on YouTube of a September 1981 feature on Ric Flair. The profile is part of WBTV channel 3's "Carolina Camera" series and was hosted and produced by C.J. Underwood. As well as being a WBTV news personality, C.J. was also the ring announcer at the old Charlotte Coliseum (Independence Arena/Crickett Arena) for Crockett Promotions.
This feature aired in Charlotte a few weeks before Flair won the NWA title for the first time. As well as interviewing Ric at his home on Lake Norman (his early home, not the huge home he lived in later that we occasionally saw on WCW TV), we get a glimpse of then 2-year old David Flair, and Ric's "new girlfriend" Beth.
The profile includes footage of a Texas Street Fight between Flair and Roddy Piper at the Charlotte Coliseum.
