I got a phone call from a friend in Portland last night on the way in from the Hickory show. She was an emotional wreck and said that Sandy Barr had an heart attack and passed. I don't know if Sandy ever worked the Mid-Atlantic area. He was one hell of a man. He loved old school wrestling and would watch a good technical match like the biggest fan you had ever seen, even after all these years of sweeing it. The biggest testament from Sandy to this business I remember- was he would run shows at a loss, and he knew he was losing money. He would tell me "well there's no where else for the boys to work" Wrestling has lost another legend, and the world has lost a great man. - Brad Anderson
