Do not know if this is the right place--if not, sorry.  I remember back in the (I think) late 80s, I read in The Wrestler or some other mag about a guy that worked as "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley in one area, and as something Milton in another area.  Anyone remember this guy?  Was he any good?

Nope - he worked as RICK CASEY in Memphis and feuded with ABDUL GHADAFI over the International title

He did an angle in 88 I believe where he denounced the Rick Casey name and went back to Wendell Cooley and feuded with Sid Vicious for the CWA belt

I believe Cooley also holds the distinction of being the last wrestler in Southeastern/Continental to get an NWA World Title shot when Flair made his final trip through there in September 1986.

By May 1987 the promotion was recognizing the AWA World Title.

Hi! I am writing an article about professional wrestling, in Appalachia, and fans' thoughts, feelings, and emotions watching wrestling on TV and in person back in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and early 90s. I can email you what I currently have written. My goal is to submit the article for inclusion in an Appalachian journal. Please email me at emelniczek@gmail.com if you want a copy of the article.  It is a rough draft and still needs some work. I am really looking for Knoxville fans thoughts, feelings, and attitudes toward wrestling back in the day.
