The interview was on WXII channel 12's "Midmorning News" from Winston-Salem,NC on Tuesday Feb.10,1976.I will be posting more about the media coverage as I collect additional information.

It took over two years for the court case to be resolved. Here is the result. The article was published on May 17,1978.

Jury Finds For Promoter

Charlotte - A federal jury here has found that wrestling promoter Jim Crockett did not have a stranglehold on auditoriums in Charlotte and Winston-Salem for his events.

A Winston-Salem wrestler, John Powers, had charged in a suit that Crockett's leases for wrestling sites in Charlotte and Winston-Salem violated anti-trust laws, but the jury found there were no violations.

"The jury's decision vindicates Jim Crockett Promotions of illegally operating wrestling events in Charlotte. It shows that the Crockett family operated lawfully," said John A. Mraz, Crockett's attorney.
