LES THATCHER: Hello, I am Les Thatcher. I am the new host of Geogria Championship Wrestling, and thank you for inviting us into you homes today. On our program today Gypsy Joe will wrestle Brute Bernard and Ricky Gibson will face Paul Christy.
 
(AWA representative Paul Jones comes out with something under his arm)
 
THATCHER: Mr. Jones, thank you for being here. I understand you have an announcement about the Georgia Junior Heavyweight Championship
 
JONES: Thats right Mr Thatcher. If the Champion Ricky Gibson will please join us with the title.
 
(Ricky Gibson and Robert Gibson come out)
 
JONES: Thank you Ricky. At this time, I would like to present you with this. The newly created Georgia Television Championship. Of course this means we will be stripping you of the Georgia Junior Heavyweight Championship, and dissolving the championship. The Georgia Television Championship will have no weight limit, but all matches will be wrestled under a 15 minute time limit.
 
RICKY GIBSON: Thank you very much Mr. Jones. It is an honor to be the Georgia Television Champion. Now I want to talk about what happened in the Omni. I beat Jacques Goulet fair and square, After the match, Mad Dog Vachon and Butcher Vachon wanted to attack me. Now I won;t back down from a fight, but its a coward that back jumps you! Vachon's if you want a fight with two brothers who can fight just as good as you can, well me and Robert will be happy to give you the fight of your life.

THATCHER: We are back and I am joined by Thunderbolt Patterson and Thunderbolt, I understand the AWA has asked you to be the special referee for the World Title match between Nick Bockwinkel and Ivan Koloff in the Omni on Saturday August 18.  
 
T-BOLT: Well thats right Les. I-I-I-I-I'M glad ta be pick'd ta be da refaree of da match. I been goin true some real strenuous work out routines now ta get rea-dee ta be da referee.  I'm gettin ready fo what eva der es in da ring on dat night!  
 
(Ron Wright, manager of Ivan Koloff walks out)
 
WRIGHT: You be quiet a minute Boy!! I got here some en I wanna tell you! Let me tell you some'en right here, you ole loud mouth. You gonna be tha referee fer tha match tween mah man Ivan Kolff and that there coward Nick Bockwinkel  is that right? Well boy, Ivan Koloff is the best wrassler who ever got in that there ring since ole Ron Wright himself. Now every body knows that Ivan Koloff is gonna whop that Bockwinkel right dere in the Omni, so if'n you know whats good fer ya boy,  you'll stay outta da dadgum way and just count ta three when da time comes. Ya do know how ta count ta three don'ya BOY??????

(T Bolt goes to hit Wright when Ivan Koloff and The Vachons show up and attack T Bolt. They pull him off to the side and start ripping at his suit while he tries to fight back. The Gibsons and Ron Fuller run out to ringside and fight off Wright's crew)

FULLER: Wright, you keep messin with the wrong people! Thunderbolt ain't gonna stand fer you and your thugs jumpin him from behind, and T-Bolt's a good freind of mine. So if he wants my help in givin you boys a good ole fashion DOG WHIPPIN!! Then I will be happy to help. Ivan Koloff, you may have won that Russian Chain match, but I ain't done with you, you dirty commie!!! Time'll come, I get ya back in the ring, and when I do I'm takin the Georgia title back for the good ole US of A!!!!!

The Georgia Tag Team Belts, El Campeonato de Equipo de Etiqueta. And what the Invaders want, we get. Soon we will take your belts and sus máscaras, YOUR MASKS! THATCHER: It seems that you get rid of the Night Train, just to have another team looking to take you on.
 
MWI: Thats what happens when you are Champions Les, but II and I aren't worried about those Invaders or anyone else, and you know why Les?
 
THATCHER: Why is  that?
 
MWI: Because we have all these people right here behind us, and with them supporting us, we can't loose. Isn;t that right 2?
 
MWII: Thats right. Invaders, if you have the will power, the guts, the fortitude, whatever it takes to climb into the ring to challenge us for these titles well then we will be waiting. You know Les, people have been coming out here for years and saying they are going to take our masks, well, we are still here and we still have our masks..and where?....Where are all thos guys who said they were going to take them? Invaders, get in the ring with us and find out what happened to all those other guys.

I am tellin tha whole wide world right dang now, I am gonna get on that there telephone in tha back an I'ma gonna call mah high dollar New York loyers!!!!! I'ma get them work on this here Thunderbolt Patterson problem. Ain't no way that boy is gonna be fair ta Ivan Koloff after tha beatin my boys done gave him. A beatin, I might add, that he rightfully deserved fer layin his hands on a good upstanding southern GENTLEMAN, such as mahself. Not that I expect this white trash people here to undastand, Les Thatcher, because they wouldn't don know what makes a real gentleman!!!
 
THATCHER: Mr. Wright I have to ask, where is Sgt. Jacques Goulet?
 
WRIGHT: He done failed me one dadgum time to many, and now is is standin in that unemployment line, just like these people here do every day!!!!
 
THATCER: Alright now, there is no need for that.
 
WRIGHT: I done told ya Thatcher, keep yer dadgum trap SHUT!!!  
 
KOLOFF: Thunderbolt Patterson, you do not lay hands on Ivan Koloff's manager, the honorable Ron Wright. You did and you paid for it. Patterson if you are referee you will be fair or I will break you. Then  you will be lying in a hospital.  Nick Bockwinkel ! You will wrestle Koloff with the  World Title on the line. You get the AWA to give you a special referee. This is the way you operate. The way all you Americans operate. You want to make sure things are easy for you. You cheat because you cannot beat a superior Russian athlete. Ron Fuller, you have already been beaten. You come out here and say you are not not done with Ivan Koloff. Well what are you going to do about it?  You tell everyone how tough you are just because you are an American, the second strongest country in the World.  This does not make you tough. I am from the #1 country in the World the USSR.  I am superior Russian Athlete and I proved it when I beat you in Russian Chain match and I will prove it when I beat Nick Bockwinkel  and take World Title home to Moscow.  
 
WRIGHT: That's right!!!! This man is tha nex' Worlds Champion!! And I know them Gibson Boys were out here runnin there yaps, sayin they want to fight The Vachons? Well why don' you two watch this here match an see what yer askin fer.

THATCHER: I have been joined by Eddie Mansfield and Mr. Mansfield, you have had some good fortune here in Georgia since arriving, but you have won all your matches under, shall we say, controversial means.
 
MANSFIELD: I have no idea what you are talking about Les Thatcher, a win is a win, thats all that matters to Eddie Mansfield. What does it matter how I won, all that matters is that I had my hand raised in the ring. 235 pounds of twisted steel and sex appeal Les Thatcher, the woman's pet and the man's regret. The Continental Lover. Just look at this face, not a mark on it, I am the prettiest wrestler ever, and I aim to keep it that way. Just look at me, look at my beautiful blond locks, my chiseled and tan body, this handsome face, all that is missing is gold around my waist. And I know what piece of Gold I want, the newest and brightest piece in the AWA, The Georgia Television Championship. So Ricky Gibson, I wouldn't be so preoccupied with the Vachons and your brother Robert, because you got something I want, and what The Continental Lover wants, he gets.

I like the shift from Junior title to TV. Open weight classes mean more possible competition and with the Vachons out there there is plenty of competition to go around.
 
There are plenty of folks in Georgia that can make things exciting, especially the Invaders. They will certainly add to the tag ranks and how soon they get a title shot is more on the competition on how long they can hold them up.

This was good TV, glad to see Georgia cooking
