Renner opens the show.
 
Renner, “Fans, we have a lot to talk about today. Bruno Sammartino will be here to answer Ben Justice’s challenge. We have a tag team feature match between the Von Steiger Brothers and Dominic DeNucci and his ‘Mystery’ partner. Let’s bring out the Von Steigers.”
 
The Von Steigers join Renner.
 
Renner, “Who do you think it will be? Who has DeNucci recruited?”
 
Karl Von Steiger, “No one! Who would want to get in the ring with us. DeNucci is a fool!”
 
Kurt Von Steiger, “My brother is right. That stupid Italian will have no one with him. It will be two on one and we will destroy him!”
 
Renner, “I guess we will have to wait and see.”
 
Match #1
Texas Red def. Takashi Onoume (3:47) w/high crossbody
 
Renner is with Texas Red.
 
Renner, “Red, you looked very good the last two weeks.”
 
Texas Red, “You’re darned right I did. I came here to beat people and that’s what I’ve done. Pepper Gomez just happened to be the first in line.”
 
Renner, “Well it was a great match. So good, in fact, that a rematch has been signed for the Cow Palace on July 28 and before that. You will team with the Gladiator and meet Gomez and Sam Steamboat at the ‘Tag Team Spectacular’ at the Oakland Coliseum Arena.”
 
Texas Red, “You know something, I’m not going to whine and complain about having to wrestle that Mexican again. I’m just going to go out and beat the devil out him again. Pepper Gomez, you made a big mistake signing for a rematch!”
 
Match #2
Alexis Smirnoff def. Guy Lambert (4:02) w/Russian neckbreaker
 
Roy Shire and Bruno Sammartino are seated with Renner.
 

 
Renner, “With us is promoter Roy Shire and the Pacific Coast Champion Bruno Sammartino. I’ll turn it over to Roy.”
 
Shire, “On July 4, at Kezar Stadium, Bruno Sammartino gave the World Champion, Terry Funk, the beating of his life. Due to the interference of Ben Justice, Bruno did not win the World Title. I believe that Bruno can beat Funk and I am in negotiations with Fritz Von Erich and the NWA to sign a rematch.”
 
Justice and J.C. Dykes come out.  
 
Dykes, “Enough whining. We’ve heard how this punk couldn’t win the World Title. Now let’s hear about him giving Ben Justice a shot at the Pacific Coast Title.”
 
Justice, “Sammartino, I ran Patterson out of here. Now I want what I deserve, the Pacific Coast Title!”
 
Sammartino, “Listen Justice, you stuck your nose in my business at Kezar. You want a match with me…you’ve got it!”
 
Shire, “Let’s get this signed, on July 28, at the Cow Palace, Sammartino vs. Justice.”
 

 
Renner, “You heard it fans, what a match it will be.”
 
Match #3
Ripper Collins w/Saul Weingeroff def. Mr. X (5:28) w/elbow drop
 
Martin is with Kevin Sullivan.
 
Martin, “Mr. Sullivan, you beat Colosetti in San Francisco and the NWA has awarded you with a title shot against Jerry Brisco.”
 
Sullivan, “Thank you, Mr. Martin. I am honored to get a chance to win the World Jr. Heavyweight Title. Brisco is a great wrestler. I will have to be on my game.”
 
Martin, “That is true. Next week, Jerry Brisco will be here in the studio and in a very unusual situation, you and he will be tag team partners.”
 
Sullivan, “That is strange, but I don’t second guess the matchmakers.”
 
Martin, “It will be Brisco and Sullivan as tag team partners against a yet unnamed team.”
 
Match #4
Kevin Sullivan def. Ati Tago (5:39) w/victory roll
 

 
We see edited highlights of the Anderson Brothers vs. the Assassin from “Florida Championship Wrestling”.
 
Ole and Gene come to the ring with a walker. Ole offers it to The Assassins and says they can use it to walk back to the old folk’s home. Assassin I throws the walker and Gene is barely able to duck out of the way.  
 
The match starts out at a very methodical pace. This gives the teams a chance to feel each other out. The first match changing move comes when Assassin II (The Great Bolo) drop toe holds Gene into a glove shot by Assassin I. Ole screams at Frenchy Bernard that that glove is loaded. The Assassins work on Gene’s right shoulder, setting him up for the standing hammerlock later.  
 
A low blow by Gene on Assassin II gives Ole a tag. The crowd pops for him. Ole just shakes his head and goes to work. He goes for the knee of the big masked man. Once he has him down, Ole shifts to the legendary Anderson target, the right arm. He lifts and drops Assassin II in a series of hammerlock slams. Gene joins in and, after several minutes, Ole clamps on the trademark step over arm bar.  
 
Assassin I comes in and throws several head butts that seem especially effective. Assassin II makes the tag and Assassin I goes after Gene, who has also tagged. Assassin wastes no time. He lifts Gene in the standing hammerlock. Out from the back comes… Dusty Rhodes.  
 
He does not touch either Assassin, but he doesn’t have too. Both masked men are distracted. Gene manages to tag in Ole, who goes in from behind and schoolboys Assassin I, grabbing a handful of tights on the way down. The World Champs slip out, grab their belts, and leave. The Assassins are screaming as Rhodes points to his temples and laughs all the way back to the dressing room.
 
Renner, “On July 28, the Anderson Brothers meet the Royal Kangaroos at the Cow Palace. When we come back we will have the feature match and we will see who Dominic DeNucci’s partner is.”
 
The Von Steiger Brothers are waiting in the ring. Dominic DeNucci comes to the announce table.
 
Renner, “Dominic, where’s your partner?”
 
Kurt Von Steiger grabs the house mic from Pepper Martin.
 
Von Steiger, “We knew it, you have no partner. Now get in the ring and let us finish you off!”
 
DeNucci, “Don’t get too excited. I’ve got a partner and here he is.”
 
Ray Stevens comes out.
 

 
Renner, “Ray Stevens, the ‘Blond Bomber’!”
 
Stevens takes the mic, “That’s right, I’, back. I saw Dominic needed some help and I stepped in. Now let’s get this thing started!”
 
Stevens and DeNucci charge the ring. The match never gets started and the show ends with all four men brawling.
 
Match #5
The Von Steiger Brothers vs. Dominic DeNucci and Ray Stevens (No Contest)
 
Renner, “What a surprise! Ray Stevens back in California! Roy Shire is back with us.”
 
Shire, “I knew Stevens was coming back, but I wanted it to be a surprise for the fans…”
 
Stevens and DeNucci come to the table.
 
Stevens, “Von Steigers, you didn’t expect me, did you! Dominic needed help and I showed up. Now, let’s get a rematch signed. How about in Oakland?”
 
The Von Steigers are in the ring and they appear to not want a rematch.
 
Shire, “I think that’s a great idea. All of you have open contracts, so it will be the Von Steigers vs. DeNucci and Stevens on July 14 at the Oakland Coliseum Arena!”
