CWA 7/11 Lville(Rich & Fields v. Brits/Bass v ???)
Jul 11th, 2007, 2:28pm

AWA-CWA Wrestling
Live from the Louisville Garden
Bell time for 7/11/77 is 7:00 pm

1)      The impressive youngster, Canada’s next great athlete, Kelly Kiniski defeats the human oddity Quasimodo after delivering a Canadian back breaker to the so-called hunchback.
2)      The Miser leads his duo of Dennis Condrey and Phil Hickerson over the mediocre masked men by the moniker of the Medics. Condrey and Hickerson dissect the masked men and Phil finishes things off with a massive clothesline on Medic #1.
3)      Tito Montez and the Spider wrestle to a 15-minute time limit draw. Both men show great technical prowess in the match, but when the Miser tries to get involved, Montez goes crazy, almost ripping off the masks of both men instead of going for the victory.
4)      Pat Roach defeats Bugsy McGraw with a big knee drop off the second rope. McGraw seems to be a little confused and makes come crazy decisions during the match when he has got Roach on his heels.
5)      “Superstar” Bill Dundee defeats “Professor” Bill Ash by disqualification after the Professor blatantly hits Dundee with a folding chair. Neither man was able to get an upper hand in a very back and forth contest prior to the DQ.
6)      Tommy Rich and Ricky Fields defeat the British duo of Marc Rocco and Jim Breaks in a match for the AWA Southern Tag Team titles. Rocco and Breaks bend every rule possible and only after the match breaks down into a melee that Rich and Fields can brawl their way past the Brits, with Fields rolling up a distracted Rocco from behind for the 1-2-3.

Prior to the main event, it is announced that Monday at the Mid-South Coliseum, Ron Bass defeated Jerry Jarrett for the AWA Southern Heavyweight Title and due to injuries incurred in that match, Jerry Jarrett can not use his rematch tonight. Therefore a replacement was selected at random from the wrestlers in the back for what will tonight be a non-title match.

7)      Jerry “the King” Lawler defeats Ron Bass in a non-title match after the King drops Bass with a pile driver after Bass had knocked out the official with a brutal lariat. Bass was irate with the fact Lawler was his opponent to begin with, but Tojo Yamamoto clamed his man enough with the fact that the match is non-title. Bass tries to take every short cut, but the King is ready and gets the win over the new champ.

Great show here! Still like how young Kiniski is coming along. Condrey and Hickerson looked very good! I love the team of Rich and Fields! Nice work with the substitution of Lawler in the Main Event, with him going over was even better!

Bad move for Ash Mr. Dundee will get back at him. Would have loved to see this show IRL. Keep up the good work.

One of the things I can be the most thankful for is that Brix put together an awesome roster to work with and I've just built upon the foundation that was laid out. By adding in guys like Roach, Rocco, Breaks, Montez, and some of the other faces that will be coming out in the next few weeks, I know that I will have a small stamp on this territory, but most of it is on Brix's shoulders.

Thanks to all who are looking in on the CWA, and of course feedback is always welcomed.

Great angle having Lawler step in as a sub and defeat Bass. Good win for Rich and Fields. Dundee is going to seek some revenge on Ash.

Lawler back in the title picture? Priceless.

I loved Dundee getting hit in the head. Way to go, professor.

Great use of Kiniski here. All he needs is a mentor.

Condrey and Hickerson were great in this region at this time. Going against The Brits would be something to see.

Great stuff, Midwest.
