Dick Murdoch has joined Steve Stack!

Steve Stack: “Well Dick, you have a big match coming up this Thursday night against Tank Patton for the Western States Heavyweight Title. You’ve been chasing him for a long time and this Thursday you have another shot.”

Dick Murdoch: “You’re right Steve, I’ve been after this belt for a whole and I realize this Thursday may very well be mah last show for a little while. Well, you better believe that Ah will take advantage of this opportunity on Thursday night at the Sports Arena. You’ve kept the belt things long by bending the rules and out-right cheatin’ on lots of occasions, but this Thursday Ah want to see if you got what it takes to really beat me in the ring. Ah know I can beat and take your belt, but do you really know deep down if you can beat me? Let’s find out on Thursday, ok?”

Steve Stack: “We’ll see who walks out with the gold this Thursday night at the Sports Arena. We’ll be back in just a moment, folks.”

DORY FUNK JR. is back and he has joined Steve.

Steve Stack: “Dory, it’s great to see you back here. I’m sure you have something to say to Bobby Davis and The Super Destroyer.”

Dory Funk Jr: “That’s right, Steve, I do have something to say. Davis, you orchestrated a truly world-class scam and you, Brisco, and the Super Destroyer sure did a lot of damage to me. The one thing you didn’t do is finish me off for good, Super Destroyer, and this was your fatal mistake. You left me breathing and in the back of your mind you had to know that sooner or later I would be back on your trail. Well, I’m real close to being right back on your trail, Super Destroyer, and I ask you to show that you have one honorable bone in your body by agreeing to rassle me one more time on August 2. I realize you aren’t gonna be too anxious to get back in the ring with me, but I’ll make it with your while. Next week, I’d like to ask you to come out here BY YOURSELF without your weasel of a manager or your cohorts and look me in the eye. I have an offer that even you won’t be able to refuse. I’ll be here next week and I hope you have the guts to join me.”

Steve Stack: “What a statement from Dory Funk Junior! Fans, let’s go to the ring.”

Jose Lothario has joined Steve Stack!

Steve Stack: “Jose Lothario, it’s great to see you again, but I wish it were under different circumstances.”

Jose Lothario: “Yes, it’s unfortunate what became of Gino Hernandez and I partly blame myself, Steve. When I got hurt, I should have been around a little more to make sure that someone as young and impressionable as Gino wouldn’t get caught up with Bobby Davis. I felt he was man enough to take the lessons I gave him to heart, but I see now he was not.”

AND HOLD ON JUST A SECOND- Here comes Bobby Davis, Jerry Brisco, and GOOOORGEOUS Gino Hernandez and Gino doesn’t look happy!

Gino Hernandez: “First of all old man, my name is GORGEOUS Gino to you! Second of all, the one thing I should have learned sooner is how you’d stab me in the back to get what you wanted.”

Steve Stack: “Now Gino, if you’d just watch the tape I was going to sho…”

Gino: “I don’t need to see a tape, I know what a back-jumper this old man is! In fact, I can’t wait to get the opportunity to slap your face once again so get yourself a partner and we’ll defend the belts against you this Thursday night.”

Bobby Davis: “Uh…Gino…hold on a second here. We don’t need to rush…”

Gino Hernandez: “Bobby, don’t give it a second thought. This old man can get anyone he wants as his partner and they won’t stand a chance against Jerry Brisco and GORGEOUS Gino Hernandez! So, get whoever you want, Lothario and we’ll wipe the mat with you.”

Jose: “My boy, I’m sad it had to come to this but I WILL accept your challenge and I know there is someone back there I talked to earlier. If he’d agree to it, I’d like to ask CHRIS TAYLOR to team with me this Thursday night!”

(Chris Taylor comes out from the back and shakes Jose Lothario’s hand)

Bobby Davis: “HOLD ON!!! CHRIS TAYLOR…I’M NOT GONNA HAVE MY CHAMPIONS GET IN THE RING WITH…”

Jerry Brisco: “It’s OK, Bobby. Like Gino said, we can beat this old man and anyone he can find. If Chris Taylor wants get involved in our business, we’ll knock his big butt around too!”

Steve Stack: “Fans, we may have a big match on top Thursday night if the matchmaker will allow it! We’ll have an update for you by the end of the hour!”

CYCLONE NEGRO def. LANNY POFFO, 6:01

Steve Stack: “Folks, I spoke to this man Cyclone Negro earlier today and he wants The Mongolian Stomper in the ring!”

We’re just about to see the NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION TERRY FUNK in action and look who’s just joined Steve- IT’S JACK BRISCO!! Jack’s scheduled to meet Terry this Thursday night for the World Heavyweight Title.

Steve Stack: “Well, I’m certainly surprised to see you, Jack. You didn’t let anyone know you were coming.”

Jack Brisco: “I decided to show up here in Amarillo a few days early, certainly not for pleasure but because I knew Terry Funk would be wrestling on today’s program. I called up mah good friend Bobby Davis and he booked me a fist class plane ticket to get here a few days early. I’m already looking forward to leaving, but I plan on leaving Amarillo as the NWA World Heavyweight Champion once again!”

Steve Stack: “Well that remains to be seen, Jack Brisco. Since you’ve decided to grace us with your presence, would you mind joining me for commentary during Terry Funk’s match?”

Jack Brisco: “I’d be happy to join you and give these people watchin’ on TV an extra reason to keep watchin’.”

SPECIAL NON-TITLE EXHIBITION MATCH
TERRY FUNK V “AUSTRALIAN” LARRY O’DEA (w/ Steve Rackman)

Terry offers his hand to O’Dea, but Larry slaps it away and motions for a lock-up. They lock-up and Terry backs Larry into the corner and then makes a clean break. Funk takes O’Dea to the mat and uses several holds to soften up Larry’s right knee.

Larry O’Dea manages to block an attempt at a leglock and roll Terry Funk into a small package, but Terry kicks out just before the count of two. Once they get back to their feet, Terry takes Larry O’Dea down once again and continues to soften up the knee.

Terry picks O’Dea up and lifts him into a knee-breaker, which seems to further injure the right leg of The Australian. At this point, Terry Funk cinches in his signature Spinning Toe Hold and it is not long before Larry O’Dea has to verbally submit. The NWA World Heavyweight Champion looked very impressive in this match!

At this point, Jack Brisco leaves the broadcast table and enters the ring clapping his hands as Terry Funk stands staring at his rival. Brisco offers his hand to Funk and Terry looks around at the fans, trying to decide whether or not to shake Jack’s hand. Terry tries to be a gentleman and shake Jack’s hand, but JACK BRISCO SLAPS TERRY FUNK ACROSS THE FACE AND THEN KICKS HIM IN THE GUT! Before Terry even realizes what happened, JACK BRISCO SLIDES TO THE OUTSIDE AND HIGHTAILS IT TO THE BACK!!!

Terry doesn’t look happy at all and he heads over to share some comments with Steve Stack.

Steve Stack: “Terry, what Jack Brisco just did…”

Terry Funk: “Steve…I don’t mean to interrupt you but I know what I want to say. Jack Brisco, plain and simple, this Thursday, YOU’RE A DEAD MAN!!”

Fans, we’re almost out of time, but Bobby Davis has joined Steve for a quick word.

Steve Stack: “Now Bobby, we’re real short on time…”

Bobby Davis: “I know, but you’ll make time for the manager of champions. I just wanted to announce that the Western States Tag Team Title match has been signed and I want the world to know that I am fully confident in the…strategy…that my boys have. I also want to say that real soon, I’m going to bringing in a new man from the Orient that Giant Baba found for me. He’s been trained in the Samurai martial arts and he’s not like anything you Texans have ever seen before. When he gets here, my plan to hold every title in Western States Wrestling will be complete!”

Steve Stack: “OK Bobby, tell us more about it next week because we’re out of time. Folks, don’t forget this Thursday at the Sports Arena, Terry Funk is gonna defend the World Heavyweight Title against Jack Brisco. Dick Murdoch is gonna get one last shot at Tank Patton’s Western States Heavyweight Title. And let’s not forget, Jose Lothario and the Olympian Chris Taylor challenge for the Western States Tag Team Titles against Gino Hernandez and Jerry Brisco. Welp, folks, we are outta time, make sure to come on out to the Sports Arena this Thursday night and we’ll see you next week on Championship rasslin'!”

These were good shows, I would've loved to have been there to see the Funk - Brisco Draw!  Those two were great, especially against each other and that would've been one hell of a match!

One thing though, that blue font is hard on the eyes, at least on my screen!

Other than that, these were great shows.

Thank you Baron Chito Von Poppenfresh, I changed the font to red. Hopefully that's a little better.

Yeah, the red's good.  It's weird, some font aren't bad on some moniters, but on others they are.  But yeah, the red works.

Also, I forgot to mention, congrats to Dick Murdoch on winning the Western States title.  I liked Patton as Champion, but Murdoch's one of my favourites, so I'm happy to see him with the gold.

I send my congrats to the future Captain Redneck.

I love this version of Gino Hernandez so much more.

Can't wait to see what Dory has in mind for Super D.

The classic Brisco-Funk feud has a new chapter.

gino and jerry are still the top stars in my opiniopn here.
good to see the funk-brisco stuff overlapping into other areas. it was big, and should be treated as such even here in fantasy land.

Bobby Davis must wonder what kind of monster he has created with Gorgeous Gino.

Terry Funk v Larry O'Dea would have been a good TV match.

Wonder who Bobby Davis' new man is.
