Jul 16th, 2007, 10:40pm

Cobo Arena Show
7/7/77

George Gulas Def. Denny Alberts
Gulas as the newcomer takes it to alberts from the begginnig, he uses speed to trap him. After a few slams and a dropkick from the top he picks up the win.

Big Daddy Def. Walter Johnson
This is a huge battle, both men slug away and work each other over, Johnson controls at first but the experience of daddy comes out and when Johnson goes to try and slam the big man he cannot do it and Daddy falls on top for the win.

Killer Kowalski vs. Abdullah the Butcher double DQ
This match starts being a brawl, both men pound away at each other. Abby pulls out a fork mid match and starts to carve up kowalski. Kowalski is bleeding all over the ring. Abby keeps making the blood pour out, Kowalski has had enough he gains advantage and tosses the large man outside the ring, he smashes his head into the ring post busting abby open. They continue to fight around the ring as the blood flows the ref has no choice but to call this match a no contest.

intermission

Chris Colt Def. Allen Coage
This is a back and forth match, a match mixed with brawling and technical holds. Coage works over colt first. Then Colt comes back and catches coage in a hold and almost gets the pinfall. Coage comes roaring back and works over Colt again. Coage looks to be on his way as he tosses colt around the ring. Coage goes for the kick to the back of the head and misses, colt rebounds he methodically works over coage and slams him, one elbow off the top rope later he makes the pin.

World Tag Title Match: Brusier/Crusher Def. Grahams via DQ
The Grahams come out with new life as jerry sr. is at ringside, he yells at brusier and crusher throughout the match and they keep their eye on him, he pulls the leg of brusier at one point during the match, and brusier tries to go after him. The world champs work over jerry jr first, they slowly show why they have the world belts, but when luke comes in and catches the crusher off guard the grahams take the advantage. They keep the crusher from making the tag out. They wear him down and get numerous near falls, he finally is able to make the tag to brusier. Brusier comes in with a head of steam. He nails both grahams and when jerry sr, gets on the ring apron he nails him too, crusher brawls with luke outside the ring, Brusier slams Jr. and goes for the pin sr, tries to come in but bruiser grabs him and pounds him until he hits the floor. Bruiser goes for the pin, but all of a sudden a man comes from the crowd and nails brusier with a chair the ref turns around the ring the bell and dq the grahams. Brusier and Crusher are declared the winners but you can see they are wondering who the man is that attacked them. The grahams leave the ring with him.

Sheik Def. Bobo Brazil
Bobo comes out with a head of steam and catches the sheik off guard. He works over the sheik and slams him again and again. He is on a roll and the crowd is into it. He keeps on the sheik until the sheik brings out a foreign object and jabs bobo with it. He works him over making bobo a bloody mess, but bobo will not give up, he stays on the sheik and slams him again, he tosses creatchmen into the ring and nails him back to the arena floor. He is setting the sheik up for the cocoa butt but the sheik goes to his trunks again and brings out the fire ball and makes bobo hit the mat, the ref turns around as the sheik is making the cover for the pin.

US title match: Mark Lewin vs. Don Kent
Lewin wants to have a wrestling match, but all kent wants to do is brawl, he brawls with lewin and gains the edge, he works over lewin and keeps him in a choke hold, he has him in the choke hold on and off for over 8 minutes, the crowd gets restless they want their champ to get out of it, Finally at the 10 miniute mark lewin breaks free and the next five minutes are both wrestlers going for pins like crazy hitting moves on each other and gaining near falls, finally the timekeeper announces a minute left in the time limit. Both wrestlers are trying to gain the edge, with less than a minute left, lewin catches kent in a sleeper hold and just as the ref is about to count him out the bell rings signalling the end of the match a time limit draw.

To be the champ, you have to beat the champ. Kent came up short. Great win by Lewin.

Kowalski/ Abby was a bloodbath, just what I thought it would be.

Gulas gets a win in the place he should be in.

Big Daddy intrigues me here.

Too bad Coage lost. Hope there is more for him.

The man in the crowd is interesting. Hope that B&C find out.

Bolo should have known the fireball was coming. Bad for him.

Great Cobo card.

Great show!

Kowalski/Abby would have been something!

Big win for Chris Colt.

Another barnburner for Sheik and Bobo!

Kent fell a little short this time but might be close to victory!
