As the show comes on air special VTR footage is shown from the end of last weeks show...........
(Out comes Robert Fuller to the ring as Tully Blanchard has already gotten in. Referee Sonny Fargo is present and goes over what the stipulations are with both men.)  
 
Blanchard reaches out to shake Fuller's hand but he refuses. Tully says ok and Fuller stands in the center of the ring as Blanchard is behind him pacing back and forth. Fuller yells for Blanchard to 'COME ON" and he finally does step up behind Fuller and locks on the sleeper hold!!! Blanchard has it wrenched in tight as Johnny Weaver and the studio audience are clearly behind him!! Fuller is trying desperately to get out of the hold but to no avail! In a last ditch effort Fuller makes his way to the turnbuckle and walks up to the second one and pushes off........he and Blanchard fall backwards to the mat.......but Blanchard still has the hold locked in tight!!! Fuller squirms some but finally goes limp.......Referee Fargo lifts his arm.....1........2.......3!!! Blanchard has done it.......he has put the champion out!! He releases the hold and is very excited! He hugs Weaver and then Weaver helps sit Fuller up and Blanchard wakes him up!! It looks as if Blanchard will get his title shot now!

Bob: Welcome wrestling fans to another action packed hour of Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling! As you just saw from the footage at the beginning of the show Tully Blanchard did indeed put Robert Fuller out last week with his Sleeper Hold and thus earns a shot at the Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship. As I understand it he will get his shot right here next week on this television program! We will be hearing from Robert Fuller about this growing feud a little later in the program. We will also be seeing "Nature Boy" Ric Flair in action today as he faces off against Pete Doherty. Also, in action today will be Professor Boris Malenko's newest addition the Masked Russian as he faces Pete Sanchez.  
 
David: That's right Bob and we will also be seeing some footage of a recent match between NWA World Heavyweight Champion Terry Funk and Masked Superstar with Wahoo McDaniel as the special referee! There were some interesting developments at the end of that match and we will be seeing just what happened a little later and hear from Chief Wahoo McDaniel! Let's not forget our big television main event today as we will see the new Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions Charlie Cook and Ray Candy in their first television defense against newcomers from Puerto Rico The Infernos. Let's get to the ring and our first bout!

(Murnich introduces newcomer Bobby Duncum vs. Mike Davis. Referee Tommy Young) Duncum has a very strong showing, overpowering Davis and finally winning with a neck breaker.

As we come back from commercial break a VTR is shown from the recent World Title Match in Hampton, VA...............
Terry Funk vs. U.S. Heavyweight Champion Masked Superstar w/Professor Malenko  
"Special Referee" Wahoo McDaniel  
 
Funk is not to keen on the idea of Wahoo as the special referee in this one! He has words with Wahoo before the bout even begins! Finally, Wahoo gets both men checked and calls for the bell as these two lock up! The match goes back and forth during most of the contest with neither man really gaining a distinct advantage until Malenko gets on the apron to argue a call with Wahoo and he chops him off the apron to the floor! This of course sets Superstar off who hits Wahoo and the Chief fights back chopping him twice to the head and as he falls backwards Funk is there to capitalize and rolls Superstar up for the 1,2,3 @31:33! Superstar is disgusted and grabs up Malenko and the two quickly head to the back as Wahoo gets the World Title to give to Funk........Wahoo looks down at the title then back at Funk.......the two exchange some words and Wahoo hands over the title..........as he turns to leave the ring Funk nails him from behind with the title!!!!! The crowd is going nuts as Funk grabs Wahoo up and piledrives him hard into the mat!! As the crowd rains down the boos Funk spat on Wahoo and left the ring under tight security!!

Bob: There you saw what took place there at the end of that great match fans.......Terry Funk jumped Chief Wahoo McDaniel from behind after the match......the match he won.....and delivered a pile driver to him! We are being joined now by Chief Wahoo McDaniel.....
 
Wahoo: Thank you for having me Bob. As you all just saw from that footage at the end of that match I had that NWA World Heavyweight Championship in my hands.........oh it felt so good! I told Terry Funk that one day that it would be mine and he told me anytime, any place! Then when I turned around he nailed me with the title and then gave me the big pile driver. Well, let me tell you something Terry Funk.......you got me this time....but it won't happen again! I will not turn my back on you.......I will not trust you........and like I told you one day........ONE DAY that World Title will be mine! I don't care who I have to go through to get it......but I will have the NWA World Heavyweight Championship........the most prestigious championship in the world!
 
Bob: You heard him fans. Chief Wahoo McDaniel means business and Terry Funk better watch out for him! Let's get back to the ring!

(Murnich introduces The Masked Russian w/Professor Boris Malenko vs. Pete Sanchez. Referee Sonny Fargo) The big Masked Russian makes very quick work of Sanchez defeating him with the Hangman's Hold!

He wants to be like Ric Flair........he idolizes Ric Flair! I showed you, these fans, and especially Ricky Steamboat who truly is the man.......the man around here is "Nature Boy" Ric Flair!!! ....................................as we come back from commercial Fargo has gotten order restored finally! Cook whips Inferno #1 into the ropes and hits a huge football tackle! He tags in Candy who then hits a big splash for the 1,2,3!!
