DENNIS STAMP has joined Steve Stack.

Steve Stack: “Dennis, this issue between you and Choi Sun has been going on for months now and the NWA Board of Directors have signed what has been decreed to be the final singles match for you. It will August 2nd at the Sports Arena and whoever loses the match will have to be tarred and feathered in front of the crowd that night.”

Dennis Stamp: “This is ree-dic-uuuu-los, Steve! I ain’t no English soldier in 1776, but worry none because it’s not gonna be me that gets tarred and feathered. It’s gonna be that Choi Sun because he’s not a rough tough Texan like me and he got one of them tiny foreign brains! I almost feel bad for the fella, but don’t let that fool ya. I’m gonna beat him all over Amarillo on the 2nd and then personally dunk him in the tar head-first and cover him with feathers from head to toe! He’s gonna be wishing for the days when he was just getting choked with a pink belt, Steve!”

Steve Stack: “You can see the match on August 2!”

Steve Stack: “Well congratulations are sure in order Dick…or should I say CHAMP!”

Dick Murdoch: “Thank you very much to all the great people here in Amarillo for bein’ in mah corner and thank you for the nice welcome, Steve. I’ve been after this belt for a real long time and I finally won it right in the middle of the ring on Thursday night.”

Steve Stack: “Well they there’s no rest for the weary and this Thursday night it’s gonna be your first title defense against the former champion Tank Patton.”

Dick Murdoch: “Tank is a tough man, I’d know because it took a heck of a lot to beat him in the first place. However, now that I got this belt in my hands it’s gonna take a heck of a lot to get in from me. Tank, bring everything you got on Thursday at the Sports Arena because it’s going to take all that and more to get this here belt from me, boy!”

CHRIS TAYLOR & CYCLONE NEGRO def. THE AUSTRALIANS (w/ Steve Rackman), 10:11

GIANT BABA (w/ Wild Bull Curry) def. SKIP YOUNG, 2:49

Steve Stack is joined by BOBBY DAVIS, GINO HERNANDEZ, THE SUPER DESTROYER, WILD BULL CURRY, THE MONGOLIAN STOMPER, & THE GIANT BABA!

Steve Stack: “Before you say anything, Bobby, everyone should take a look and see just how Gino and Jerry held onto the Western States Tag Titles this past Thursday night.”

(We switch to clips from the closing moments of the match where Chris Taylor managed to catch Jerry Brisco with a belly-to-belly suplex that seemed to knock Brisco out. Chris made the cover, but GIANT BABA ran in and attacked Chris Taylor causing a DQ, which allowed Gino and Jerry to retain the belts. Baba slammed Taylor and then throw into the outside where Gino Hernandez slammed the former Olympian with a steel chair. Gino then slammed the chair over Jose Lothario’s head as well.)

Steve Stack: “How do you explain those actions, Bobby?”

Bobby Davis: “It’s real easy to explain it. The big fatso Chris Taylor has been taunting Giant Baba for weeks here in Amarillo and this man finally had enough of it. We tried to explain to him that he should wait until after the match, but he doesn’t speak English. The language barrier is to blame, not myself, Mr. Bull Curry, or even Giant Baba himself.”

Steve Stack: “Well the match has been signed for this Thursday night, it’s going to be Gino Hernandez teaming with The Mongolian Stomper and Giant Baba against Chris Taylor, Cyclone Negro, and Jerry Oates in what should be a fantastic match.”

Gino Hernandez: “It’s going to be fantastic to see how fast we win; that’s what will be fantastic about it, Steve.”

Bobby Davis: “That’s right Gino. Steve, if you don’t mind, I’d like to talk a little bit more about the newest member of this Corporation that will be joining us in the coming weeks. Giant Baba, through his English translator Yoshi, recommended the man personally and said he was the most vicious wrestler in all of Japan, second only to Baba of course. Well, he’s finishing his intense Samurai training and then he’ll be coming to Amarillo to join his friend Baba and all of us in the Bobby Davis Corporation. Next week, I’ll have some special footage on the man.”

Steve Stack: “We’ll all be looking forward to that I’m sure, Bobby. Now as for the International Champion, The Super Destroyer, he has been challenged by Dory Funk Jr. to meet him face to face on today’s program…”

Bobby Davis: “The Super Destroyer has asked me kindly to let him handle this business with Funk and I have graciously agreed to let him do so.”

Super Destroyer: “Mr. Davis, please take all these men to the back so Dory Funk Jr. can come out here without being scared out of his feeble mind.”

Steve Stack: “Well hopefully Dory will join is in just a few moments!”

Steve Stack: “Well, Dory Funk Junior and The Super Destroyer are out here. I’d like to ask both of you not to resort to violence out here today.”

Super Destroyer: “I will not lay a finger on Mr. Funk unless he strikes me first. Let’s cut the small talk Funk, you said you had an offer for me.”

Dory Funk Jr: “I do have an offer for you and I have to say that I respect you coming out here by yourself like I asked. Now, this thing between you and I has been going on for many months now. I took your championship from you and you took it back, using your goons to injure me in the process. Well, I’m very close to being healed up and I want the opportunity to settle this once again for all.”

Super Destroyer: “I’ve beaten you before Funk, I don’t see the need to do it again just for pride.”

Dory Funk Jr: “I told you I had an offer for. What I’d like is one more match with you for that International Title. I’d like to make sure this match will settle our feud once and for all so I want it to be an old-fashioned Texas Death Match. I’d like the match to take place on August 2.”

Super Destroyer: “So far I don’t like this offer, Funk.”

Dory Funk Jr: “You didn’t let me finish. You say you believe you can beat me and that you’re the better man. Well if you prove that and beat me on August 2nd in a Texas Death Match, I’ll come out here two days later on TV and tell the world you are the better man and relinquish any future claim to your title. And then…I’ll turn around, walk out of the studio, and leave Amarillo forever. You’ll never see me in Amarillo again if you can beat me on August 2nd.”

Super Destroyer: “So you’re telling me that WHEN I defeat you, you’ll not only tell the TV audience that I am your superior in every way, but you’ll also leave your home forever and never show your face around here again?”

Dory Funk Jr: “That’s exactly right.”

Super Destroyer: “Funk, get the contract drawn up with those stipulations and I’ll gladly sign it right here on TV next week. You have yourself a deal.”

Dory Funk Jr: “I’ll be here next week with the contract.”

Steve Stack: “Folks, a landmark match has just been agreed to! August 2nd could be the greatest night in Dory Funk Junior’s career or the worst night of his entire life if this thing gets signed.”

SPECIAL TV MAIN EVENT
THE MONGOLIAN STOMPER (w/ Wild Bull Curry) V TIGER CONWAY

The monster from the farthest reaches of Upper Mongolian can hardly be contained, even by his handler Wild Bull Curry, and immediately attacks Tiger Conway as soon as the bell is rung. The Stomper batters Conway in the corner and then begins choking him. The referee tries to force The Mongolian Stomper to break the hold, but the Wildman refuses to do so.

Tiger manages to land a kick to the stomach that seems to stagger The Stomper and break the hold and then Conway follows up with a right hand to the jaw. Tiger lands a series of these right hooks and then attempts to slam The Mongolian Stomper, but he can’t lift the man and The Stomper drives his forearm onto Tiger’s back. Stomper then chops Tiger across the chest, knocking Conway to the canvas.

The Mongolian Stomper then runs off the ropes and drops a big knee slam across Conway’s chest and then stomps his right foot on the canvas several times. He waits for Tiger Conway to get back to his feet and then boots him right in the face, sending Tiger back down. The Stomper covers his man and easily gets the three count and wins this TV Main Event.

These were some good shows.

I really enjoy your TV shows in Amarillo.  I think you managed to keep the same feel to the show that Topo had, but at the same time, you've put your own spin on it.  That's not an easy thing to do.

My favourite match on the Sports Arena card had to be the big 6-man tag team match, that would've been a fun match!

Chris Taylor was always a big bully, but he met his huckleberry when he tried to pick a fight with Giant Baba.

Choi Sun is going to be a disgrace to Koreans everywhere when he is photographed with all that tar and feathers.

Who are you bringing in to replace Dory Funk Jr when he loses to Super D? The August 2 card is turning into a very important night for this territory.
