Match #1
1 fall, 15 minute time limit:

Johnny DeFazio
battles The Masked Assassin to a DRAW at 15:00.

Match #2
1 fall, 15 minute time limit:

Geto Mongol
defeated Terry Yorkston.
This match features two seasoned veterans.  Yorkston tries to keep it scientific early on, he slaps on a headlock on the Mongol and begins to apply the pressure.  Mongol has other ideas, and shoots Yorkston into the ropes, taking him down with an armdrag.  Mongol shows that he does have some scientific moves in his arsenal, but it doesn't last long.  Once he has Yorkston down on the mat, Mongol lays some heavy boots to the side of Yorkston's head.  Mongol picks Yorkston up, slams him hard to the mat, and then comes off the ropes with a splash for a nearfall.  As Yorkston starts to get up, Mongol charges at him and kicks him right between the eyes!  The lights go out, Yorkston crumbles to the mat, but Geto isn't finished yet, he bounces off the ropes and drops a knee right to the throat of Yorkston.  Geto covers Yorkston for the pinfall victory.

Match #3
1 fall, 20 minute time limit:

Greg Valentine
defeated "Flying" Fred Curry.
The two men lock up to start the match, after jockeying for position, the bigger, stronger Valentine gets the upper hand and backs Curry up into the ropes.  He backs away, as though we're going to get a clean break, but then Valentine brings a big forearm down across Curry's chest.  This is a mistake, though, as Curry comes off the ropes like a house o' fire, nailing Valentine with big lefts and rights.  This staggers Valentine, then Curry drops him with a picture-perfect standing dropkick.  Curry goes in for a cover, but Valentine throws him off at the count of one.  Both men are up quickly, but Valentine is a little quicker on the draw, and he brings a clubbing forearm down onto the head of Curry, dazing him.  Valentine then whips Curry into the ropes, and uses a drop toehold to bring Curry to the mat.  Valentine immediately goes to work on Curry's knee, pulling and twisting his leg, even lifting his leg up and slamming his knee down into the mat!

For the next few minutes, Valentine works over the knee.  Curry surprises him when Valentine goes for the Figure Four Leglock, Curry reaches up, grabs him by the head, and rolls him up in a small package for a VERY close nearfall!  This just makes Valentine even more upset, he goes right back to the knee, stomping and twisting the leg.  Valentine again goes for the Figure Four Leglock, but Curry kicks him off with his good leg, sending Valentine head-first into a nearby turnbuckle.  Valentine staggers out of the corner, then turns...and falls on his face!  Curry slowly gets and goes over to cover Valentine.  Greg kicks out, but is slow getting up.  When Valentine gets to his feet, Curry whips him into the ropes, taking him down with an armdrag, then locks on an armbar.  This doesn't last long, Valentine slowly makes his way to his feet, and fires off several shots to Curry's head, then kicks his injured leg out from under him.  Valentine goes back to the leg, but Curry won't stay down, he punches Valentine in the stomach, then nails him with a standing dropkick.  It's obvious that move hurt Curry's leg even more, as he has trouble getting back up.  Valentine staggers over as Curry gets up, Curry grabs ahold of Valentine for a headlock, but Greg lifts him up and drops Curry with a back suplex.  Valentine then goes to pick Curry up, but Curry again rolls him up out of nowhere, for another very close nearfall!  Valentine again kicks out, and once again goes back to the knee.  Greg kicks Fred's leg out of from under him, and goes to work on it.  He drags Curry out to the middle of the ring, and slaps on the Figure Four Leglock!  Curry fights the pain, but there's been so much damage done to his knee, he has no choice but to submit!

Match #4
1 fall, 30 minute time limit
WWA North American Championship Match:

Bulldog Brower (Champion)
defeats Luis Martinez.
The two men go to lock up to start the match, but instead, Brower rakes the eyes of the Challenger, stopping Martinez dead in his tracks!  Brower nails Martinez with several punches that send Martinez into the corner, where Brower continues to assault him.  It's all Brower at this point, he's pummeling Martinez in the corner, but Luis shows his quickness, he gets out of the corner, planting Brower against the turnbuckles instead, and starts nailing him with punches of his own!  Martinez leaps into the air and brings a big chop down on the top of Brower's head.  Brower comes out of the corner fighting, though, he grabs Martinez and whips him into another corner, then starts BITING the forehead of Martinez!  The referee gets in between them, and forces Brower back.  Brower will have none of it, though, he gets back in there and grabs Martinez, dragging him over to the another turnbuckle, and slams his head into that one, then drags him over to the next set of turnbuckle pads and slams him, head-first, into those pads as well!  As Martinez falls to the mat, Brower kicks him, hard, in the side of the head.

Brower is just out of control here, he's stomping away at the head of Martinez, he really seems to be enjoying himself!  He picks Martinez up, and nails him with punch to the forehead that puts Martinez back on the mat.  Luis just can't seem to get any offence going.  Finally, Luis manages a comeback, he comes off the ropes, ducks a clothesline attempt, and connects with a cross body block for a two-count.  Martinez stays in control for the next few minutes, but can't put the Champion away.

Bulldog Brower again takes control after raking the eyes of Martinez behind the referee's back.  Brower throws Martinez to the floor, and proceeds to slam his head into the ringpost before throwing Martinez back into the ring.  Back inside the ring, Brower slams Martinez to the mat, and begins to pummel him.  After several sledgehammer-like blows, Brower covers his barely-conscious opponent for the pinfall victory.

Match #5
1 fall, 60 minute time limit
Match to crown WWA North American Tag Team Champions:

The Graham Brothers
defeat Wilbur Snyder & Dino Bravo to win the vacant titles.
The youngster Dino Bravo starts out with Luke Graham as this match begins.  Graham toys with his opponent a little bit to start, slapping him around.  Bravo will have none of it, though, and unloads a series of lefts and rights on Graham.  Things go back and forth early on, Bravo shows that he can keep up with the veteran Graham brothers.  The Grahams turn things around again, however, when they get Bravo in their corner and double-team him.  Jerry Graham even chokes him with the tag rope while Luke distracts the referee.

Wilbur Snyder's seen enough, and he charges into the ring.  While the referee tries to keep Snyder from getting involved, the Grahams use this opportunity to do some more double-teaming.  With Bravo in a bad way, Jerry Graham tags in and goes to work on Bravo, wearing him down.  Graham slams Bravo hard to the mat, and goes for the cover, but Wilbur comes into the ring and breaks it up by planting a boot to the head of Graham.  Luke Graham comes in and attacks Wilbur, and we've got all four men in the ring!  For the next few minutes, they all brawl.  Snyder whips Luke Graham into the ropes, then locks him in the Abdominal Stretch!  Jerry tries to put a stop to it, but Bravo grabs his leg, tripping him up.  Bravo kneels over Jerry and pummels him with lefts and rights.  Finally the ref gets some order restored, Wilbur and Luke leave the ring, and Bravo continues to pummel Jerry.  Bravo tags Wilbur in, and he wastes no time in applying the Abdominal Stretch to Jerry!  Graham tries desperately to get out of the hold, finally grabbing the top rope, forcing Wilbur to let go.  Jerry quickly tags out, and Luke Graham comes back in.  Luke grabs ahold of Wilbur and locks him in a side headlock, putting the squeeze on Wilbur.  Snyder tries to slip out of his grip, but Luke has a vice-like grip on Wilbur's head.  Finally Wilbur manages to lift Luke up and hit him with a back suplex.  When Graham gets back to his feet, he staggers into a corner.  Wilbur comes over to him, but Graham is ready, and rakes his eyes.  A clubbing forearm smash across the back drops Wilbur to the mat.  Wilbur, from his knees, fires off several punches to the stomach of Graham, then irishwhips him into the opposite corner.  Jerry Graham starts to come in, but Wilbur nails him with a punch to the head that sends Jerry back through the ropes and to the ring apron.

Wilbur hiptosses Luke out of the corner, then tags Dino Bravo back in.  Dino slaps a headlock on Luke, but he manages to make his way close enough to the Graham's corner, that he can tag Jerry in.  Bravo is ready, he lets go of Luke, and nails Jerry with a big right hand.  Bravo then hiptosses Jerry to the mat, and when Jerry staggers to his feet, Bravo catches him with a dropkick!  Jerry gets up and staggers into Bravo's corner, where Wilbur grabs him and slams his head into the turnbuckle!  Bravo tags Wilbur in, and Snyder whips Jerry into the ropes, then arm drags him to the mat.  Jerry gets up quickly and makes a mad dash for his corner, tagging Luke Graham back in.  Luke is a little relunctant to get into the ring with Snyder, and for good reason, as he doesn't fare any better than his brother did, Wilbur slaps the Abdominal Stretch on Luke, but he's close enough to his corner that Jerry can reach in and punch Wilbur in the head, breaking up the Abdominal Stretch.

Wilbur is dazed, and doesn't see Jerry reach in and hand something to his brother, Luke!  Luke takes the object when he turns back to Wilbur, he nails Wilbur with a haymaker.  Wilbur is out before he hits the mat, he falls flat on the mat, and Luke slides the object back to his brother, and then covers Wilbur!

Match #6
1 fall, 60 minute time limit:

The Crusher & Sailor Art Thomas
defeat The Sheik & Abdullah the Butcher w/ Bruce Swayze by DQ.
Things explode as the opening bell rings, all four men brawl in the ring!  Sailor Art Thomas gets the better of The Sheik and sends him through the ropes.  Crusher leaves the ring, and we've got Sailor Art Thomas and Abdullah the Butcher squaring off!  Abby is slow to lock up, he circles his opponent for a moment, eyeing him up.  When they lock up, Abby quickly gets the advantage, and nails Thomas with a headbutt.  Abby then grabs Thomas in a headlock, and jabs him in the throat.  Thomas falls against the ropes, and Abby begins choking him.  The Sheik comes over and joins in on the fun, punching Thomas in the head.  The referee finally gets The Sheik back to his corner, then pulls Abby off of Thomas.  Thomas quickly tags The Crusher in.  Crusher comes in and immediately starts trading punches with the Butcher.  When Abby jabs The Crusher in the throat, the Crusher backs off, but only momentarily, he comes right back at the Butcher, firing on all cylinders.

Crusher kicks Abby in the stomach, doubling him over.  Crusher then grabs him in a front facelock and proceeds to drive his knee right into Abdullah's face!  The Butcher falls to the mat, and The Crusher starts stomping away at him.  Bruce Swayze gets up on the ring apron and gets The Crusher's attention.  Crusher comes over and grabs Swayze by the collar.  Abdullah comes in behind Crusher, but when he goes to nail Crusher in the back of the head, the Crusher ducks out of the way, and Abby nails Swayze, knocking him off the ring apron, to the floor.  The Crusher nails Abby with lefts and rights, staggering the madman from the Sudan.  Suddenly, The Sheik comes into the ring...AND THROWS A FIREBALL AT THE CRUSHER!!!  The referee immediately calls for the bell as the Crusher falls to the mat, clutching at his eyes.  Thomas rushes into the ring to check on his fallen friend as Abdullah and Sheik leave the ring, Bruce Swayze leading them to the locker room.

Main Event
1 fall, 60 minute time limit
AWA World Heavyweight Championship Match:

Nick Bockwinkel (Champion)
defeats Dick the Bruiser (Challenger).
The two men lock up to start the match, but Dick the Bruiser quickly gains the advantage, he grabs Bockwinkel in a side headlock.  They back into the ropes, where Bockwinkel breaks the hold by punching Bruiser repeatedly in the stomach.  When Bruiser lets go, Bockwinkel quickly rakes his eyes!  Bockwinkel then pulls Bruiser out to the middle of the ring, and picks him up, dropping him over his knee in a backbreaker, then covers Bruiser.  Dick kicks out right away.  Bockwinkel gets up and starts stomping away at the Bruiser, even choking him over the middle rope.  Bockwinkel backs Bruiser up into the corner, and nails him with rights and lefts, then hiptosses Bruiser out to the middle of the ring.  Bockwinkel then goes for another cover, but again Bruiser kicks out at the count of 1.  This time, Bruiser gets up, scoops Bockwinkel up, and slams him hard to the mat.  Bruiser goes for the cover, but Bockwinkel kicks out.  As Bruiser moves in to attack again, Bockwinkel fires off several shots into his stomach, doubling the Bruiser over.  Bockwinkel then snap-mares him to the mat, and slaps on a headlock.  Bockwinkel tells the fans that he's got Bruiser right where he wants him.  Bruiser surprises Bockwinkel by slowly getting up to his knees, then elbowing Bockwinkel in the stomach, over and over.  Bockwinkel lets go, and Bruiser gets to his feet, firing off a series of rights and lefts to the head of the World Champion.  Bockwinkel staggers around, and Bruiser drops him with a big clothesline!  Bruiser then gets on top of Bockwinkel and begins to choke him!  Bockwinkel rolls him off, and both men quickly get back up to their feet.

Bruiser charges at Bockwinkel, but the Champion quickly bails out of the ring, and takes a moment to collect himself on the floor.  When Bockwinkel makes his way back into the ring, Bruiser is ready for him, and he nails Bockwinkel with a series of punches, then grabs him by the hair and pulls him into the ring, slinging Bockwinkel to the mat by his hair.  Bockwinkel gets up to his knees, and begs off, pleading with Bruiser, but Dick will have none of it, he nails Bockwinkel between the eyes with a series of right hands, then pulls him up and whips Bockwinkel into the corner.  Bruiser charges at him with a knee to the gut.  Then begins choking the World Champion in the corner!  Bruiser pulls Bockwinkel out of the corner, and whips him into the opposite corner, where he starts choking him again!

The tables turn, though, when Bockwinkel falls to the mat, and when Bruiser moves in to attack again, Bockwinkel grabs him by the front of his tights, and pulls him head-first into the top turnbuckle!  Bockwinkel pulls Bruiser out of the corner and drops him with a wicked neckbreaker.  Bockwinkel doesn't give the challenger even a second to recover, he pulls Bruiser up again, and whips Bruiser into the ropes...HE LOCKS ON THE ORIENTAL SLEEPER!!!  Bockwinkel catches Bruiser in the Sleeper as he comes off the ropes!

Bruiser tries desperately to fight it, he makes his way over to the corner.  As Bockwinkel tries to pull Bruiser back out to the middle of the ring, Bruiser puts his feet up onto the second turnbuckle, and pushes off.  Bockwinkel falls backwards to the mat, the Sleeperhold still applied, and Bruiser comes down on top of him.  Both men's shoulders are down as the referee gets into position to make the count...

Dick the Bruiser jumps up, do we have a new Champion???  The ref takes the belt from the timekeeper's table...AND HANDS IT TO BOCKWINKEL!?!?

Dick the Bruiser is livid, he grabs the referee and motions that the belt should be his.  The ring announcer comes into the ring and announces that both men's shoulders were down, but Bockwinkel lifted one of his shoulders at the last second while the Bruiser's were still down.  Therefore, Nick Bockwinkel is the winner of this match, and STILL World Heavyweight Champion!!!

Yeah, Bruiser won the WWA Heavyweight Title, but it wasn't on the line on this show, as he challenged Bockwinkel for the World Title.

Bulldog Brower was recognized as North American Champion.  The WWA Title is going to be defended more in the Indianapolis area, while the North American Title will be more the focus in areas like Pittsburgh and Cleveland.
