WWA Wrestling!
Friday night, July 13, 1977
Public Hall in Cleveland, OH

-----------------------------------------------------------

Match #1
1 fall, 15 minute time limit

Bruce Swayze
battles Billy Red Lyons to a DRAW at 15:00.

Match #2
1 fall, 15 minute time limit

Bobby Bold Eagle
defeats Porky the Pig (Mike Loren).
Loren is an unusual individual, coming to the ring barefoot.  He doesn't waste any time attacking Bold Eagle from behind as he removes his Native headdress.  A smile creeps onto Porky's face as he stomps away at Bold Eagle, he seems to really be enjoying himself.  Late in the match, Bold Eagle turns things around, he eventually catches Loren off the ropes with a Tomahawk Chop, leading to the pinfall.

Match #3
1 fall, 20 minute time limit

Fred Curry & Luis Martinez
defeat The Masked Assassins w/ George Cannon by DQ.
Curry and Martinez take an early advantage in this match, but it's short-lived, the Assassins, who look identical, pull the ol' switcheroo behind the referee's back.  The Assassins pull the same trick throughout the match, it seems every time Curry and Martinez have the upper hand, the Assassins switch, bringing the fresh man into the ring.  The end comes when Martinez comes off the ropes and dives at one of the Assassins, attempting a flying forearm smash, but the Assassin pulls the referee in front of him.  The referee takes the full force of the blow.  Both Assassins then double-team Martinez, which brings Curry in and a pier-six brawl errupts.  When the referee comes to, he immediately calls for the bell, disqualifying the Assassins and giving the victory to Martinez and Curry.

The Assassins attack again, though, as Curry and Martinez are getting their hands raised.  One of the Assassins slips something into his mask and headbutts Martinez, knocking him out cold.  Curry hits both Assassins with dropkicks, sending them out of the ring, where George Cannon leads them to the locker room.

Match #4
1 fall, 30 minute time limit

Greg Valentine
defeats Billy Red Cloud.
This is a fast-paced, competitive match-up.  Both men go on the offensive throughout the match, but neither one can put the other away.  Late in the match, Red Cloud takes control of the match.  He wears Valentine down with a series of knife-edged chops, then whips him into the ropes.  As Valentine rebounds off the ropes, Red Cloud locks him in a Sleeperhold!  Valentine fights the hold, but starts to fade.  Eventually, Greg reaches the ropes, causing the referee to force Red Cloud to break the hold.  With both men on the ropes, Red Cloud starts to back away, but Valentine sucker-punches him in the mouth!  Red Cloud hits the mat, Valentine covers him, putting his feet on the second rope, for the pinfall.

Match #5
1 fall, 30 minute time limit

Sailor Art Thomas
defeats J.B. Psycho.
These two powerhouses jockeyed for position early on, neither one wanting to give an inch.  Thomas eventually won out, but J.B. immediately turned things around with a kick to the midsection, then unloads on Thomas with a series of brutal forearms across the back of Thomas.  For the next several minutes, J.B. Psycho worked over his opponent, even going so far at one point to choke him over the top rope!  In the end, Thomas turned things around, much to the delight of the Cleveland crowd, and eventually locked Psycho in the Full Nelson for the submission victory.

Semi Main Event
6-man Tag Team Attraction!
2 out of 3 falls, 60 minute time limit

Wilbur Snyder & Gino Brito & Dino Bravo
defeat The Graham Brothers & Bulldog Brower.

FALL #1: Dino Bravo pinned Dr. Jerry Graham after putting Graham in the Airplane Spin.
FALL #2: Luke Graham pinned Gino Brito after a piledriver.
FALL #3: Wilbur Snyder forces Bulldog Brower to submit to the Abdominal Stretch.

Main Event
1 fall, 60 minute time limit

Bobo Brazil
defeats The Sheik w/ Bruce Swayze by DQ.
These two long-time rivals tear right into each other as soon as the bell rings!  The Sheik gains the early advantage after a rake of the eyes, but Bobo quickly turns things around.  Bobo whips The Sheik into one corner, and nails him with a clothesline, then sends him across to the opposite rope and again, another clothesline.  Bobo completely dominates the match for the most part, but in the end, Bruce Swayze and the Sheik have other ideas, and Bulldog Brower hits the ring!

Brower attacks Bobo from behind and helps The Sheik beat him down...until Sailor Art Thomas hits the ring!  Thomas unloads on The Sheik and Bulldog Brower with rights and lefts, sending both men out of the ring, then helps Bobo to his feet.

I forget sometimes what a good wrestler Swayze was.

Good to see Bold Eagle with a win.

Martinez and Curry in the win column was okay to see, even by DQ.

Thomas was always a fan fav for me.

Loved the Six man. Good to see Brito in action.
