WWWF Madison Square Garden 7/9/77

Sorry guys, gonna have to be short on this, we are in full baby alert here as the baby looks like it may come a bit early. Anyway here is the card for 7/9/77:

WWWF CHAMPION SUPERSTAR GRAHAM d BRUISER BRODY in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match, winning the match 2 falls to none in twenty seven minutes and eighteen seconds

NIKOLAI VOLKOFF d ARGENTINA APOLLO with the Russian Backbreaker in seven minutes forty two seconds. After the match Apollo's tag team partner Carlos Rocha made his way down to the ring and was laid out by Volkoff as well. The carnage would have continued if not for Gorilla Monsoon who came to the ring and had a stare down with Volkoff.

CHIEF JAY STRONGBOW and CARLOS COLON d WWWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS JESSE VENTURA AND KEN PATERA when Strongbow pinned Ventura to win the titles in thirty one minutes and fifty nine seconds!! After the match CAPTAIN LOU ALBANO got into the ring but was battered by both Colon and Strongbow

In other action:
TONY ATLAS d SPIROS ARION with the Full Nelson @ 17:22
PAT PATTERSON d TONY MARINO @ 11:35
VICTOR RIVERA and JERRY VALIANT wrestled to a 15 minute draw.
GORILLA MONSOON and PETER MAIVIA d LOUIS CYR and BUTCHER NOVA @ 9:01
SD JONES d KARL VON SCHTOLZ @ 7:24
ANTONIO PARISI d BULL POMPETTI  @ 3:11

That's an impressive victory for the Superstar over Brody, especially in 2 straight falls, that's quite an accomplishment!

Congrats to Strongbow and Colon on winning the titles, they'll make good Champions.

Atlas vs Spiros Arion would've been a fun match.  Nice to see Tony Parisi with a win.

All in all, this was a great show.

Look big daddy, it's regular daddy.

El Mariachi: You want me to shoot the cook?
Agent Sands: No. I'll shoot the cook. My car's parked out back anyway.

Best wishes on the soon to come blessed event.

Graham shows he is the real Superstar against Brody.

Congrats to Colon and Strongbow on their win.

Apollo against Volkoff was good. Can't wait for Monsoon to get involved.

Great card.

Congrats to Colon and Strongbow! Colon is becoming quite the tag team partner. Impressive win for Superstar.

Your use of Carlos Colon has been really smart. He's a small Puerto Rican guy that can bring back that crowd, but you've kept him in tag matches with strong partners, so it doesn't seem glaring that a small guy's winning against the large opponents WWWF fans are used to.

Volkoff's up next for Graham?
