Did they even have official 'agents' back in the JCP days? I'm not sure that that job role was as defined as it is today. My understanding is that you would always have someone assisting the booker, as well as people who were 'office' to enforce the wishes of the 'powers that be' politically on the spot shows where Dusty / Crockett / Flair weren't present, usually top wrestlers (for example Cornette tells a story on a shoot interview of Dick Slater being the 'booker' / point man on a spot show tour). It's a good question - maybe something we could put to this boards own resident Loverboy, Dennis Condrey....
