Match 1-
 
JUAN SEBASTIAN defeats EL DIABLO ROJO with a cannonball from the middle rope.

Match 2-

CIEN CARAS defeats MACHO MAN JOHN RINGER.
 
Hercules Stevenson comes out to help Ringer at the end of the contest. It backfires on Ringer. Caras goes up to the top rope for a missile dropkick. Stevenson pushes Ringer out of the way. He does it too early, though. Caras lands on his feet and throws a flying head butt for the win.

Match 3-
 
PAUL DEMARCO/ MISSOURI MAULER defeat EDDIE GRAHAM/ NELSON ROYAL.
 
Mauler makes a blind tag to DeMarco late in the match. Royal is hit from behind by De Marco, causing him to fly into Graham. DeMarco clamps a sleeper on Royal for the win.
Mauler knees Graham in the chest as he tries to re-enter the ring.

Match 4-

BOB ARMSTRONG/ RIC DRASIN defeat STEVE STRONG/ GORGEOUS JIMMY GARVIN w/ THE GREAT BOLO
 
The Great Bolo pays a big part in the end of this match. He takes out a bag of powder while Garvin holds Armstrong. Drasin knees Garvin in the back. Garvin drops Armstrong and gets a face full of powder for his trouble. Drasin knocks Strong off the ring apron and keeps Bolo out. Armstrong puts Garvin in the spinning toe hold for the submission win.

SOUTHERN CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
AUSTIN IDOL defeats THE ASSASSIN w/ BUDDY COLT
 
As is the rule lately with all of Austin Idol’s title defenses, Buddy Colt is in the corner of Idol’s opponent. Assassin does well on his own. The match is dead even until Assassin catches Idol in a hot shot move. The masked heel goes to work on Idol’s neck and shoulders.
 
A couple of cheap shots to Idol’s mid-section by Colt keep Idol from making a comeback. Assassin lifts Idol into a standing hammerlock. Idol pushes off a turnbuckle and falls back. Both The Assassin’s and Idol’s shoulders are pinned as Jean goes in to start the count. Idol raises his right shoulder at two for the win.

After the match, Assassin catches Idol from behind with a loaded head butt. He ties Idol into the ropes and leaves him for Colt. Colt calls Idol Shane and opens him up with repeated rights and lefts. Security breaks it up.
 
Match 6-
 
THE SPOILER/ BUDDY WOLFF w/ SIR OLIVER HUMPERDINK defeat JACK and JERRY BRISCO.
 
The Briscos double team Wolff early, taking out his left leg. Wolff manages to make a tag to Spoiler after low blowing Jack out of the sight of Jean. Jack falls victim to brutal moves from the heels, who focus on the lower back.
 
The end of the match comes while Jerry and Wolff are slugging it out on the arena floor. Jack lifts Spoiler in a high vertical suplex. Jack’s back gives out from the earlier punishment. Spoiler comes down hard on Brisco. Wolff poles Jerry as Spoiler goes locks on the claw on Jack. Twice, Humperdink prevents Jack from reaching the ropes. Wolff kicks at Jerry several to prevent him from breaking the hold. Jack’s shoulders fall back to the mat from the pain and are pinned.
