Booker T's "King" gimmick coming to an end ???
Jul 27th, 2007, 12:09pm

I know there is suppose to be a match between King Booker and Jerry "The King" Lawler next Monday on Raw.

I wonder if there will be another match between King Booker and Jerry "The King" Lawler and the loser must stop calling themself "king".

PLEASE!!!! Anything so I don't have to hear "King Booka!!!" in a british accent from a guy that was part of Harlem Heat!

PS..that was my thought too, a "king" (title) leaves town match.   Cool

No one thinks this guy is funny in this gimmick, especially when he, "breaks character?"  I mean, everytime King Booker gets flustered, he goes back to the slang and demeanor...Remember when they were at the long table at the start of RAW and KB was calling Lawler Jerome.  After he got clocked and the fruit dumped on him, Booker walked up the ramp and kept saying, "Imma get you Jerry," in a tone just like good ol' Booker T of Harlem Heat.  That is funny to me. Booker T is hilarious, I don't care what he's doing.

I loved his work with Goldust in 2002.

Yeah, I enjoyed Booker's work with Goldust also.

I was at Raw when Booker T is in a 7/11 conveince store and he was getting mad because they didn't have any Booker T cups. (At the time, 7/11 had WWE superstar plastic cups)

So, Booker fills up a cup with a slurpee and he starts complaining to a 7/11 employee who has his back turned to him. The employee turns around and it was Goldust. Goldust was holding a hotdog and then Goldust says "You can have a bite of my weiner if I can I have a sip of your slurpee". Then Booker freaks out and leaves the store.

I was laughing for about 20 minutes after I saw that on the Titantron.

Do either of you believe that Sharmell is nothing more than window dressing? I think she's too loud and really adds nothing to the Royal Couple characters Queen Sherri was a whole better

Jeff

I know her career started out as a Beauty Contestant when she won the Miss Black America back in about 1991. (She was over-shadowed by the Mike Tyson rape controversy of another contestant that year.)

Sharmell has had a varied career including being a Nitro girl (Storm, later renamed as Paisley) and did work to become a wrestler in development  at OVW but had to 'retire' after an injury.  (I think it was an ACL, but don't quote me.)

Yes, she is nice Eye Candy, but also being the real live wife of Booker, I guess it's a natural pairing.

When the "King" Booker story-line ends, I hope she goes back to being the evil Manager/Valet.   Cool
