AWA PNW 7/21/77 & 7/28/77
Jul 29th, 2007, 9:00am

7-21-77

- Frank Bonema is in the Crow's Nest! Everyone is buzzing about the Seattle Card. So many big matches will take place, Col Buck Robley will challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship, Rick Martel will face Buddy Rose in a match where if Martel wins he will get a shot at the PNW Tag Team Championship, but if he looses he becomes The Army's slave for 90 days. Superfly Snuka climbs into the ring once again with the man that put his partner and best freind Dutch Savage on the shelf, Bruiser Sweetan. And finally, a match has been signed that a few weeks ago, no one would ever envision as PNW Champion Crusher Blackwell defends his title against his own cousin Steve Lawler. Lawler steps into the picture and says that he knows how bad of a man Blackwell is, he know how many times he has been to prison, but he is also the person that brought Blackwell into PNW, and he'll dang well take him out in Seattle. Lawler says Blackwell bit the hand that fed him, and he's gonna get smacked down like the dog he is.

- Match 1:  Dan Kroffat w/Rudy Kay defeats  "Irish" Mickey Doyle with a Crescent Kick

- Frank Bonema plays a film sent in by AWA World Champion Nick Bockweinkel. In it Nick talks about being the World Champion and how he has defended the title all over the World. He mentions his friendship with Col Buck Robley and wishes Robley luck, but tells him when they bell rings they are no longer friends, but competitors, both striving to be the best. Nick then tells Robley he will see him on the 29th in Seattle

- Match 2: Former AWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Davey O'Hannon and The Scorpion defeat Tommy Seiger and  Matti Suzuki when The Scorpion loads his boot and kicks Seiger in the head to set up the pin

- Main Event 2/3 Falls: Tony Bourne defeat Lumberjack Luke via DQ to win the first fall when Luke refuses to break a choke hold. Luke wins the second fall after a double stomp to the gut.

Before the third and final fall Frank Bonema interviews Col Buck Robley in the Crow's Nest. They talk about the taped played earlier sent in by AWA World Champion Nick Bockweinkel. Robley says Nick is his freind, but Nick is right, when that bell rings they won't be friends they will  be competitors both out to fullfill their goals, and Robley's goal is to be the World Champion. Before leaving Robley mentions the troubles Blackwell and Lawler are having, Robley says he hopes they both beat the holy heck outta each other.

Paddy Ryan wins the third and final fall in what some will see as an upset when he pins Tony Bourne to win the match after blasting him with a running double ax handle.

- Frank Bonema is in the Crow's Nest! Don Owen joins him and runs down the show at Mercer Arena tomorrow night:

Super Destroyer and Sweet Daddy Siki vs. Dan Kroffat and Rudy Kay

Baron Von Rashke vs. Tony Bourne

Superfly Snuka vs. Bruiser Sweetan

Paddy Ryan vs. Davey O'Hannon

Lumberjack Luke vs. Frank Dusek

PNW Champion Crusher Blackwell vs. Steve Lawler

Buddy Rose vs. Rick Martel

World Champion Nick Bockwienkel vs. Col Buck Robley

PNW Champion Crusher Blackwell then appears in the Crow's Nest, he tells Owen he better call off the match with Lawler, but Owen says he won't and they got to fight, and he hopes that they kill each other. Blackwell just brushes Owen off and tells Lawler not to show up if he knows whats good for him, Blackwell then says he should be in the World Title Match, and it don't matter who wins. When the night is over, everyone will know the Crusher Blackwell is the next World Champion

- Match 1: Steve Lawler defeats Jimmie Banks when he executes a vertical suplex on the massive man.

-  Buddy Rose's Army is in the Crow's Nest. Rose says that Army is ready for tomorrow night, first Baron Von Raschke will show the superior nature of the German athlete when he takes apart Tony Bourne, then Bruiser Bob Sweetan will finally finish off that barefoot savage Jimmy Snuka, and finally... Buddy Rose, The General himself will get rid of that no good, punk Rick Martel. Rose is sick and tired of Martel and he will finally put him out of wrestling. Then all that will be left is that dinosaur Gene Kiniski, and they plan on making Kiniski extinct

- Match 2:  Steven Little Bear defeats Dale Lewis with a Belly to Back Suplex and bridge

- Main EVent 2/3 Falls. In an eight man tag match, Dan Kroffat, Rudy Kay, Frank Dusek and Paddy Ryan defeat Sweet Daddy Siki, Super Destroyer, Lumberjack Luke and Davey O'Hannon for the first fall when Kay pins O'Hannon. The heels get the second fall when Super Destoryer loads his mask and KO's Rudy Kay then pins him. Dan Kroffat then looses it and attacks Super Destroyer!!

In an interview in the Crow's Nest before the final fall, Gene Kiniski, Rick Martel and Superfly Snuka talk about Buddy Rose's Army. Kiniski says they are united with one goal, getting rid of the Army, and in Seattle they will be one step closer. Martel says he knows all of Rose's tricks and he is ready for them, he says he is going to give it his all and try and walk away with that shot at the PNW Tag Titles. Snuka says he is out for blood. Blood for blood, Sweetan injured his best friend, now Snuka will injure him, blood for blood.

During the interview Super Destroyer and Dan Kroffat have fought all the way to the locker room, and Rudy Kay is still out of it, leaving the heels with a two on three advantage. The heels end up winning the match when Davey O'Hannon knees Paddy Ryan in the back while Ryan runs the ropes setting Ryan up for a kick to the head by Lumberjack Luke. Ryan falls like a sack of potatoes when Luke connects with the kick setting up the pin and victory for his team.
