Taped-8/2/77 Renner opens the show.
Renner, “Fans, what a night we had at the Cow Palace! Bruno Sammartino and Ben Justice settled nothing. We will talk to both men later in the program. We have a great feature match today. Dominic DeNucci and Ray Stevens meet the Von Steiger brothers. Now let’s bring out Kevin Sullivan.”
Sullivan comes out and shakes hands with Renner.
Renner, “Kevin, you came close, but the knee injury was just too much to overcome. Jerry Brisco had this to say after the match.”
We see Jerry Brisco in the locker room.
Brisco, “Sullivan, none of this is personal. This is business and the World Jr. Heavyweight Title is big business. I took advantage of a situation and if you want to get anywhere in this business, you better learn to do the same thing.”
Renner, “Kevin, I still think what Brisco did was terrible. I think you can beat him.”
Sullivan, “I don’t want to use that as an excuse. Brisco beat me. I’m not blaming Colosetti or anyone else.”
Renner, “That’s the way a true Champion thinks. I’m very proud of you. Now for the big news, a rematch has been signed. Kevin Sullivan will meet Jerry Brisco, with the NWA Jr. Heavyweight Title on the line, on August 11, at the Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento.”
Sullivan, “I’m very happy to be getting this rematch. Jerry Brisco, listen to me, I’ll be ready. You are very good, but I get better each time out. I plan on walking out of the Memorial Auditorium with the title!”
Match #1
Earl Maynard def. Jerry Monti (5:56) w/full Nelson Renner is with J.C. Dykes, The Royal Kangaroos and Ben Justice.
Renner, “Mr. Dykes, it wasn’t a very profitable night for your men.”
Dykes, “Shut up Renner!”
Renner, “Well, the Kangaroos didn’t win the World Tag Team Titles, and Ben Justice is not the Pacific Coast Champion.”
Dykes, “Things did not fall the Royal Kangaroos way, but The Kangaroos took the fight out of them and I can see the Andersons losing the titles soon, probably the next time they meet my men. The Champions should come back to California, so my men can claim the World Titles. Now about Sammartino, that spaghetti vendor lucked out! He got himself counted out because he is afraid.”
Renner, “Justice was counted out as well.”
Dykes, “Renner, just drop it. Ben Justice will be the Pacific Coast Champion soon enough.”
Renner, “O.K. What about August 11? The Royal Kangaroos are signed to defend the Pacific Coast Tag Team Titles against Tony Garea and Dean Ho in a two out of three falls match.”
Dykes, “Those 98 pound weaklings have no business in the ring with Lord Jonathan Boyd and Norman Frederick Charles III. We will beat them so badly in the first fall they will leave the arena.”
Renner, “I don’t know about that, but I do know that it will be some night in Sacramento.”

Non-Title Match
The Royal Kangaroos (Pacific Coast Tag Team Champions) w/J.C. Dykes def. Guy Lambert and Takashi Onoume (6:39) Charles w/boomerang vs. Onoume Martin is with Saul Weingeroff, Colosso Colosetti and Ripper Collins.
Martin, “Mr. Weingeroff, what Colosetti did to Kevin Sullivan was terrible!”
Weingeroff, “Colosso Colosetti deserved the title shot at Brisco. We just wanted to prove to Sullivan that he is inferior to a man of royal Argentinean blood.”
Martin, “Kevin Sullivan survived that attack and almost won the title. Now he gets another shot at Brisco.”
Weingeroff, “Maybe he won’t make it to Sacramento.”
Weingeroff and his men walk off.
Martin, “What does that mean?”
Renner is seated at the desk.
Renner, “On August 25, at the Cow Palace, this man will be in action.”
We see highlights of Wahoo McDaniel.
Renner, “Fans, Wahoo McDaniel is a former NFL and AFL linebacker. He is also one of the top contenders for the NWA World Title. It will be a treat to see him in action.”
Match #3
Ripper Collins w/Saul Weingeroff def. Mr. X (6:49) w/elbow drop Renner is with Tony Garea and Dean Ho.
Renner, T, Dean, you have your title shot. Two out of three falls at the Memorial Auditorium.”
Ho, “Tony and I have waited a long time. We’ve beaten who they have put in front of us. It won’t be easy, but I believe we can win the belts.”
Garea, “Dean’s right. We held the WWWF belts a few years ago. Now we want the Pacific Coast Titles. There isn’t a better partner in the world than Dean. We don’t think this will be easy. Boyd and Charles are very good and Dykes is a real problem, but we are ready and we know the fans will be behind us.”
Renner, “Garea and Ho vs. the Royal Kangaroos, two out of three falls, don’t miss it!”
Match #4
Texas Red def. Woody Farmer (5:18) w/high crossbody Renner is with Ray Stevens and Dominic DeNucci.
Renner, “Gentlemen, you meet the Von Steigers in a few minutes.”
Stevens, “Those dirty Germans have pushed us too far. Dom and I want to wrestle, but they want to fight. That’s O.K. You know I can do that!”
DeNucci, “Ray, you’re right. We have to fight fire with fire!”
Renner, “Fans, when we come back, we will see the tag team feature match.”
Match #5
The Von Steiger Brothers vs. Ray Stevens and Dominic DeNucci (5:41) Double Disqualification Renner is with Bruno Sammartino.
Renner. “Bruno, you and Justice went at it hammer and tong, but it settled nothing.”
Sammartino, “Yes we did. He’s an animal and you have to fight him like one. I will wrestle him again, any place any time!”
Renner, “I know you will, but we are here to talk about another match. On August 25, Terry Funk is returning to San Francisco and you get another shot at the World Title.”
Sammartino, “I want this belt. When you are a Champion, Like I am, you have to worry about two things. You have to defend your title, but you also have your eyes on the World Title. I want to beat Terry Funk and I think I can do it.”
Renner, “We have one more thing to add. You will meet Terry Funk on the 25th and more importantly, Ben Justice will be barred from the Cow Palace that night.”
Sammartino, “That’s the way it should be. Terry Funk and I should settle things in the ring, one on one.”
