AWA-CWA 8/1/77 Louisville- Can Garvin do it?
Jul 31st, 2007, 11:12pm

AWA-CWA Wrestling
Live from the Louisville Gardens, Louisville, KY
Bell time 8/1/77 is 7:00 pm

1)      Newcomer George Welles defeats Ken Dillenger with a powerful football tackle to earn a debut victory in the CWA.

2)      Big Bill Howard and the Mighty Ursa wrestle to a 10 minute TLD in a brutal brawl between powerhouses

3)      Bobby Jaggers and Dutch Mantel defeat the Medics after Dutch drills Medic #1 with a big lariat and Jaggers finishes him off with a hangman’s neck breaker.

4)      Sugar Bear Harris defeats Don Ross in a body slam match with a big splash in the corner that he follows up with a body slam. Harris makes the cover to get the 1-2-3 and add to the pot for Yamamoto san.

5)      Kelly Kiniski defeats Black Angus Campbell by disqualification after Campbell tries to choke Kiniski out with his kilt. Lord John Raven steps between his man and the official allowing Angus to keep choking Kiniski until both he and Lord Raven retreat to the locker room.

6)      The Miser guides the Spider to a victory over Tito Montez by slipping his man a foreign object that the Spider slips first under his mask for a leveling headbutt then slides into his elbow pad for a finishing flying elbow drop.

7)      In a huge tag team battle of the bullies, Phil Hickerson and Dennis Condrey do the Miser proud as they dispatch Butch Malone and “Professor” Bill Ash after Hickerson delivered a big slingshot suplex on Malone. Yamamoto san is obviously disappointed in his men, berating them all the way to the back.

8)      In a non-title match, Ron Garvin defeats Outlaw Ron Bass with a figure four leg lock. Garvin worked over the champion and finally put him away after stomping away at the joints of Bass, weakening the knee to the point he could not continue.

I love the way you have invilved Montez in an on-going feud.

Jaggers and Mantel are an old school that go far for you.

Great to see Condrey and Hickerson continue their recent success. They will become the tag champs before long.

Nice to see kiniski and Welles with wins on the card.

Great effort by Garvin, one of my favs during this time.

Great action.
