AWA International 7/21 & 7/23 (Revenge begins!)
Aug 1st, 2007, 10:58am

7/21/77 in the Auditorium de Verdun (Verdun, Qc)

~ The Mercenaries (Frenchie Martin & Mad Dog Martel) defeated The Masked UFO’s when Mad Dog Martel pinned both UFO’s after the Mercenaries slammed UFO #2 on top of #1

~ The Hangman (w/Major Duke) defeated Daniel Martel with a swinging neckbreaker. After what transpired on television earlier in the day, both men received a large amount of heat.

~ The Masked Mr. Pro defeated Mr. Hito after a gutwrench suplex and a Kiwi roll.

intermission.

~ “Dynamite” Jack Evans (w/Larry Sharpe) defeated Billy Two Rivers with a gordbuster. Two Rivers may have had the match one after a top rope tomahawk chop, but Larry Sharpe distracted both referee Desbois and Two Rivers allowing Evans to regroup and hit his finishing move.

~ Eric the Red (w/Major Duke) defeated “Quick Draw” Rick McGraw in surprisingly easy fashion, finishing him off with a splash. After the match, officials couldn’t get Eric off of McGraw until Duke blew his whistle that controls the beast. The crowd was shocked to see McGraw manhandled so easily, Eric the Red appears very dangerous.

~ In a special non-title attraction The Rougeau Brothers (Jacques Jr. & Raymond) defeated International Tag Team Champions Kurt & Karl Von Brauner, when the Mercenaries interfered and aided the Rougeau’s in a win.

7/23 in the Paul Sauve Arena (Montreal, Qc)

~ Eric the Red (w/Major Duke) annihilated Len Shelley in under 2 minutes, finishing him with a splash. Eric refused to remove his massive body from Shelley until the Major blew his whistle and ushered Eric to the back.

~ The Masked Mr. Pro defeated Mr. Hito with a backdrop and Pro fell backwards on top of Hito and covered with a body bridge. Pro still remains popular with the fans

~ International Tag Team Champions the Von Brauner’s battled the Mercenaries to a No Contest when all four men began to fight all over the building. Once things were back in order an intermission was announced.

intermission.

~ “Dynamite” Jack Evans (w/Larry Sharpe) defeated Billy Two Rivers with a gordbuster. Larry Sharpe distracted both referee Andre Roy and Two Rivers allowing Evans to hit his finishing move.

~ Quebec Heavyweight Champion Paul LeDuc defeated Chief War Cloud in a nearly 20 minute contest after hitting his patented BEARHUG AVALANCHE for the win. War Cloud put up a tough fight but couldn’t get the job done on this night.

~ The Hangman & Major Duke George defeated the team of Raymond Rougeau and Jacques Rougeau Sr. when Hangman pinned Jacques Sr. after a swinging neckbreaker. The Major again escaped having the beating of his life from Jacques Senior in this bout.

Hangman & Duke began to gloat while Raymond checked on his downed father when out of nowhere…

MAD DOG LEFEBVRE appeared from the dressing room with a piece of plywood. Lefebvre broke the wood over Hangman’s back, but it gave Duke enough time to escape from the ring. THE CROWD ERUPTS! Lefebvre went off after the Major, while Raymond helps his father up to close the show.

Lefebvre being on the side of The Rougeaus may be just what is needed to bring down The Major's boys.

Eric the Red looks to be a dominant force.

Mr. Pro looks great here.

The Von Brauners had a rough week.

Great stuff.

The Von Brauner's have been wreaking havoc since they came in, they were bound to have an off week.

Mr. Pro will be given a slow start to work his way into the company but he already seems to be over with the NWA Classic boys  Wink

You are right, Lefebvre's face turn may help the Rougeau's out in their battle against the Major. We shall see.  Grin
