AWA/SWCW T.V. Show
Announcers Gene Kelly and Rapido Rodriguez
Sunday August 5th. 1977
Welcome everyone to SWCW wrestling. I am Gene Kelly alongside Rapido Rodriguez. On tonight’s show we will have Tito Santana in action. We will also have Sicodelico in action as he will face Crusher Broomfield. We will also see Rip Hawk & Swede Hansen in action as they face The Black Cat & Fishman in a non-title match. I have been told that Dr. Wagner will be out to give us his list of 3 wrestlers. I Know Paul Ellering is in the bldg. and what will he have to say? We will also have a huge SWCW Title match tonight. Fans I was told that John Studd will be with us at the end of the show. He would like to let all the fans know how he is and say a few things to them. We now go to the ring for our first match of the night.

Good start for the show. This match had fast action with Tito hitting the flying elbow smash on panther for the 3 count”

Sicodelico vs. Crusher Broomfield
“Sicodelico and Broomfield came face to face in the middle of the ring. Crusher gave Sicodelico a slap to the face. Sicodelico came back with a right then a second right with a left after that. Broomfield only moved back a few feet. Sicodelico then gave Broomfield some hard chops and kicks to the gut. Broomfield hit a knee to the gut of Sicodelico. Broomfield used his size to power Sicodelico around the ring. As Broomfield had Sicodelico hurt he ran into the ropes and was shocked by Sicodelico who caught him with a power slam as he came off the ropes. Sicodelico got the 3 count and has given the “One Man Gang” Broomfield a big upset.

Black Cat/Fishman vs. Rip Hawk/Swede Hansen (Non-Title Match)
“Rip and Swede came to the ring with the SWCW titles. They got into the ring and showed off the belts to the fans. Both men got huge heat from the fans. At the bell Swede took Black Cat into a head lock. He took the young man to the ground. Swede and Rip made fast tags and used good double team moves to break down the Cat. Fishman got the fans going and the Cat was able to work free with a right and a few chops. He made the tag and Fishman was in. Fishman got some good shots in but Rip hit him with a chop block. Rip goes to work on the leg and has Fishman down. Rip tagged in Swede. Swede got to the second rope and came off with a double ax handle to the leg as Rip held it out. Swede locked on a figure four leg lock and Fishman had to give or his leg would have been broken.
“Gene Kelly talks with the Champions”
“Gene”
Swede , Rip you did it. Last week you told us that you had come to SWCW for the gold and that is what you have done. One thing that I have to ask , You did not beat the Champions for the belts and does put a dark cloud over your tile run?
“Rip”
WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY! A DARK CLOUD OVER US! BOY YOU ARE LOOKING AT TWO OF THE BEST TAG TEAM WRESTLERS TO EVER GET INTO A RING. WE HAVE HURT MORE MEN AND TAKEN MORE TITLES THAN YOU CAN COUNT.
“Swede”
What my friend is trying to say is this. We are the real deal not some fly by night duo like that goof Studd and that masked dirt back Mil. We would have walked into that ring looked both of them in the eye slapped the taste out of their mouth and put them to bed like the little boys they are. Look at what we did to Mil last week. As for as that goes look what we did to him and his brother last week. We are here to stay and just to let all the fans know something. We are also looking hard at the AWA World Titles. You have two of the biggest old beer drinking polka dancing goofs that could not wrestle out of a wet bag. We will take the belts form them or any team that has the AWA World Titles. We don’t care who it is or when the shot comes you are looking at the best team in the AWA and SWCW Jack and that is all we have to say.
“Gene”
OK fans you heard it from the new SWCW Tag Team Champions. We will just have to see if they can back up the talk now.

“Dr. Wagner comes to the ring with the TV Title.”
“Dr.”
OK Paul I told you I would give you a title shot but only if you can get a win over 3 men in one night. I also told you I would name my 3 men and you will love this line up. Fist you will have to face the man who will test your wrestling skills. This man knows no fear. Your first match will be with Tiger Jeet Singh. If by some chance you get past him I will have you face someone with ice water for blood. This man has the power to break you in half. Your second match will be with Igor Volkoff. Now I know you will not get past that man but I have to name my third wrestler. He is 400lbs. of raw power. He has been known to take on four men at one time. He has been called a “One Man Gang” you will have to face Crusher Broomfield. I know that you will not say yes to my match up’s so we can just call all of this off and I will go back to Mexico and have a few cerveza’s and kick back for the week.
“At this point the fans go crazy as Paul comes into the ring”
“Paul takes the mic out of the hand of the Dr.”
I will tell you what Doc. I say yes to your matches. I told you I am a dirty player also. I have talked to the G.M. and he has given me the OK on a few things I asked for. First if I would say yes to your matches that each one would be a no DQ match. Next you will be locked inside a shark cage at ringside for each match. And the last thing is I don’t have to face each man on the same night. This will take place over 3 weeks. If you try to back out on this you will have to hand over your title and pack your bags because you will be sent back to Mexico with your sombrero in hand! What do you have to say now amigo? Do you have the Pelotas (Balls) to play for blood?

Pampero Firpo vs. The Russian Assassin (SWCW Title Match)
“The Assassin has his flag with him. The fans give him some major heat as he walks to the ring. Firpo comes out and has the SWCW Title on. The fans are in shock as he comes to the ring. The fans are told that this will be for the SWCW Title and Firpo is the Champion. Firpo takes the mic “ooooohhhhh yyyyyeaaaahhhhhh I have done it. I am your new SWCW Champion. This is a dream come true for me and this will be my first match as your champion.” At the bell Firpo goes after the Assassin. The Assassin does not back down and takes a few low roads in the match. Firpo looks to love it and is back into the match with rights , lefts and racks to the eye of the Assassin. Firpo hit a scoop slam on the Assassin. As the Assassin got back to his feet Firpo locks on the claw and is down. 1…2…3 Firpo has his first win at SWCW Champion!
“Gene talks to the Champion”
Pampero I would like to be the first to say how happy I am for you. I know you have had a long hard road with Larry and at times you looked to have him down for the 3. Larry would always find some way to keep the title. What do you have to say?
“Pampero”
Gene I need to give a big thank you to my friend Mil Mascaras. Mil was the man to stop Larry as he was on his way out of the bldg. that night. Larry would have taken the 10 count to keep his belt. Mil stopped him and I finished the match. I did this for all my fans that have backed me in SWCW. Larry I will do the same for you ooooohhhhh yyyyyeaaaahhhhhh just come on back to the ring and we will do this all over and see who is the best man at the end of the night.
“Gene”
That is good to hear Pampero and I know the fans would love to see both of you go at it a few more times.

“Big John is in the ring on crutches”
“John”
I first off would like to say thank you to all the fans that called and checked on me. I have got a lot of cards and it was good to know that you guys are behind me. As you know I was in a car crash and have broken my leg. It was not as bad as it could have been. I was sick and the weather was bad. I just was going too fast and lost it. Mil I know I let you down and we had to give up the tag titles but when I get back brother we will be back in the picture. Rip and Swede you talk big I just would not let your mouth over load your “At this point El Canek hit the ring behind Studd and takes one crutches from him. Canek hit the cast as hard as he could with the crutch. Studd is down and Canek is now on him with hard rights to the face. Mil hit the ring and has Canek by the mask. Mil goes to work on Canek. Swede and Rip hit the ring and take the leg out on Mil. Sicodelico is now out to help his brother and Studd. El Canek put a stop to him as he came into the ring with a knee to the head and face. Rip and Swede put the boots to Mil. Canek now has the other crutch and is walking over to a bloody Studd. He goes to hit Studd " Pampero , Rey Misterio , Paul Ellering and Tito Tito Santana hit the ring and run all three off.” Studd is down and Mil looks in bad shape. Sicodelico is now over Mil as Pampero and Rey check on Studd. What a dark day for SWCW!
