Renner, “Fans, we are a few hours away from the big show at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium. We will preview that show today. First let’s bring out Kevin Sullivan.”
 
Sullivan joins Renner.
 
Renner, “Tonight, in Sacramento, Kevin Sullivan challenges Jerry Brisco for the NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Title. Kevin, how’s the knee.”
 
Sullivan, “It’s fine Hank, I’ve never felt better. Jerry Brisco, I’m young and inexperienced, but I’m learning. You are very good and last time you got me, that won’t happen tonight. I’m coming to take that World Title and I plan on walking out a World Champion!”
 
Renner, “Kevin is headed to the ring. Don’t miss tonight’s show, Sullivan vs. Brisco.”

Kevin Sullivan def. Superfly Tui (6:28) w/rolling reverse
 
Martin is with J.C. Dykes and the Royal Kangaroos.
 
Martin, “Mr. Dykes, the Kangaroos meet Tony Garea and Dean Ho tonight.”
 
Dykes, “Yes they do. Those two fools signed on for another embarrassment. Jonathan Boyd and Norman Frederick Charles III are the finest tag team wrestlers in the world. They beat the Anderson’s within an inch of their lives and in their next match, they lost the World Titles. Tonight will not be difficult. In fact, it will be like a night off.”
 
Martin, “A night off? I don’t think you should take them lightly.”
 
Dykes, “So that’s what you think? You really are an idiot.”

Renner, “Gentlemen, you meet Ray Stevens and Dominic DeNucci in Sacramento tonight.”
 
Kurt V.S., “Those two are inferior people, an American and an Italian. Why do they think they can last with two sons of the Fatherland? I do not understand. We have toyed with them, but no more! We will destroy those two.”
 
Karl V.S., “My brother is correct. We have wasted enough time with these weaklings. We must dispose of them and move on to better competition. DeNucci, Stevens, we will finish you!”

Renner is seated at the announce table.
 
Renner, “Let’s see this tape from the World Champion.”
 
We see Terry Funk standing in front of a wrestling ring.
 

 
Funk, “Bruno Sammartino, you no good, egg sucking dog! On July 4 in that stinking city of San Francisco, I beat you! Now I have to comeback to San Francisco, the land of assorted fruits and nuts and wrestle you again. I know you spent time in New York delivering pizzas! Now you think you can beat me, the World Champion! I’m from Texas, I’m not a filthy immigrant like you. Well I guess you’re a slow learner, that’s not surprising. On August 25, I’ll come to that filthy, rotten city and I’ll beat you and then you can go back to work at ‘Angelo’s Pizza’ and make $0.50 an hour!”
 
Renner, “Strong words from the World Champion. Now let’s hear from Bruno Sammartino.”
 
We see Bruno in a locker room.
 

 
Sammartino, “Funk, you have a big mouth! We all know that. It took Justice to help you last time. Well he won’t be there on the 25th. It’s just you and me and believe me, I’m ready. I know you make fun of my Italian heritage, that’s because you’re a fool. I’m proud to be an immigrant to this country. My family came to New York and a lot of Italian families came to San Francisco and most of them will be at the Cow Palace cheering for me. You’re a great wrestler, I won’t take that away from you, but on this night, I’ll be better and I will be the World Champion!”
 
Renner, “August 25, at the Cow Palace, Bruno Sammartino vs. Terry Funk, for the World Chamionship.”

Martin is with Pepper Gomez.
 
Martin, “Pepper, you meet Texas Red in Sacramento tonight. He’s pretty tough.”
 
Gomez, “He is. He’s a veteran and he’s willing to break the rules. The first few times we wrestled, I tried to make it a scientific bout. That was my mistake. He wants to make it a street fight, I can do that. Tonight I’ll be ready for anything he throws at me. You can count on that.”
