Camera pans crowd and settles on Bob Jenkins at the announce podium

JENKINS:  Hello, fans and welcome to an another action-packed hour of WWA Indianapolis Wrestling.  Today, we have the t.v. debut of RUFUS R. JONES, a special message from GEORGE CANNON, a huge announcement from the offices of WWA Indianapolis, and much, much more.  Today, my special co-host is WWA Heavyweight Champion, DICK THE BRUISER!!!

Fans cheer wildly as BRUISER walks out!

JENKINS:  DICK, thanks for joining me today.

BRUISER:  BOBBY, it's good to be here.

JENKINS:  Before we start the show, you had a thrilling match with the AWA World Heavyweight Champion NICK BOCKWINKEL last Sunday at the Hinkle Fieldhouse.  It seems as though you are upset with your performance in that bout, however.

BRUISER(somber):  BOBBY, I am upset about that match.  Ya see, I ain't no quitter, but Sunday, I cried "uncle" to BOCKWINKEL'S figure four leglock.  I let BOCKWINKEL get in my head.  He kept duckin' and hidin' in that match and I got frustrated.  I made a mistake and it cost me my pride.  I feel like I let the people down, I let my friends down, and I let my self down.  I'm not used to that.  I can take being beat by a better rassler, but I beat myself that night.  I know I can beat BOCKWINKEL!  He ain't as good as he thinks.  All I want is one more chance at BOCKWINKEL.  I know he'll be back in Indianapolis on the 19th and I want the shot at him.  All I ask is that I get a fair shake.  No runnin', no hidin'.  I want NICKY in a lumberjack match!!!  That way I can keep him in the ring and see who really is the better man.  These good people deserve a fightin' champeen, not a coward and I hope the commission agrees with me.

JENKINS:  Wow fans, a lumberjack match!  That would be one for the ages!  By the way, BRUISER, I think I can speak for the fans and say that you have never let us down!  After this commercial break, we'll see DEWEY ROBERTSON in action!

JENKINS:  Fans our first match is in the ring.

MATCH #1
DEWEY ROBERTSON  VS  J. B. RUFFIN

ROBERTSON wrestles cleanly throughout and wins with an airplane spin

JENKINS:  Fans, recently, it seems that WWA INDIANAPOLIS has lost control over the more vicious wrestlers in the area.  A prime example of this concerns the barbaric actions of the GRAHAMS and the team of BULLDOG BROWER and GEORGE STEELE.  These two teams have been scheduled for three matches in the last few weeks, and each match has turned into chaos.  Security and fans have been injured and buildings have been damaged badly.  As a result of this and other incidents of late, the WWA Indianapolis commission has appointed a new commissioner!  Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the new commissioner of WWA Indianapolis...
EDOUARD CARPENTIER!  MR. CARPETIER, welcome!

CARPENTIER enters the studio

CARPENTIER:  Thank you, BOB.  Fans, it is an honor and a priviledge to represent WWA Indianapolis as commissioner.  The commission and I have discussed the recent events in the area, and I have come to a decision, but first, I have an announcement to make.  On Sunday afternoon, Sept. 9, WWA Indianapolis will present a huge card of wrestling at MARKET SQUARE ARENA right here in Indianapolis.  That's right, the home of the Pacers will host a star-studded show of WWA action.  Already signed for this big night are JERRY "THE KING" LAWLER, "Superstar" BILL DUNDEE, and AWA WORLD JR. HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION RODDY PIPER!  More names and matches will be announced in the coming weeks.  I will, however announce one match now.  Due to the heinous acts of THE GRAHAMS & BROWER and STEELE in recent weeks, they will not be allowed in the same building until Sept. 9.  On that night, these two teams will meet inside of a STEEL CAGE!!!  The cage will insure the safety of our wonderful fans.  And by the way, the LOSERS MUST LEAVE INDIANAPOLIS!!!  I plan to be a tough, but fair, commissioner.  In that light, BRUISER, you will receive your rematch with NICK BOCKWINKEL with the stipulations you requested!  Fans, I am here for you and welcome any and all comments.  Thank you very much.

JENKINS:  Fans, we'll be back...

VOICEOVER:  Wednesday, August 15, WWA Indianapolis wrestling comes to

                     SAILOR ART THOMAS

BAD NEWS ALLEN COAGE  VS  KILLER KOWALSKI

                     Plus 3 other sensational bouts!

JENKINS:  Let's go to the ring...

MATCH #2

GEORGE STEELE & BULLDOG BROWER  VS  GARY FULTON & GEORGE GULAS

STEELE & BROWER maul their opponents as STEELE gets the victory with a standing hammerlock

GEORGE CANNON, dressed in army fatigues, makes his way to the podium accompanied by STEELE, BROWER, MITSU ARAKAWA, and BAD NEWS ALLEN COAGE

JENKINS:  Uh...BRUISER, you want to handle this interview?
BRUISER:  Yeah, I got it.  Whaddya want, CRYBABY?  Ya gonna cry cause of what CARPENTIER said?

CANNON:  I shall address that matter at a later date, for this is a day of celebration!  Much like Gen. George Patton leading his troops in battle, I have the priviledge of leading these men in war in the wrestling ring.  No longer shall I be called GEORGE CANNON, I shall be known as GEN. GEORGE CANNON!!!  We shall conquer all of the so-called fan favorites around here: BRAZIL, LEWIN, CRUSHER, and...you BRUISER!  We shall march through Indiana like Sherman marched to the sea, destroying everything in our path!  BRUISER, surrender now and hand over the WWA title, you maggot!

At this point, BRUISER grabs CANNON and is immediately beaten down by the CANNON ARMY

JENKINS:  Oh, God!  We'll be back!

COMMERCIAL

VOICEOVER runs down the matches for the 12th and 15th in Indianapolis & Terre Haute

MATCH #3

RUFUS R. JONES  VS  DUNCAN MacTAVISH

Jones has his way here, winning with the freight train!

JENKINS:  RUFUS, that was a great win!  What brings you to WWA Indianapolis?

JONES:  Well, BOB, I got a call from my good friend BOBO BRAZIL.  He said they was a few noggin's 'round here that needed to be busted.  Well, that's all he had to say?  See 'dis soup-bone here (RUFUS holds up his fist)?  It perfect for bustin' noggin's!  I don't care who it 'tis, I gonna whupp'um like they mama should have did!

JENKINS:  RUFUS, welcome.  And fans, until next week, see ya from the Hoosier State!

Great announcements today.

Love the cage match stip. This will settle the score between The Grahams and Steele/Brower.

Carpentier as WWA Commish was fantastic. The Bruiser lumberjack match go-ahead and the beatdown was great.

Wish there had been more matches, though. I like the way you set the commentary in that color. Was easier to follow.

Great stuff and nice angles to build off of.

I can't wait for that Cage match, that's gonna be a fun match!  My money's on the Graham's to win that one.

Bruiser vs Bockwinkel was good, and it looks like this upcoming rematch will be even better.
