AWA PNW 8/4/77
Aug 12th, 2007, 7:30pm

PNW TV 8/4/1977

Frank Bonema is in the Crow's Nest. After Nick Bockwinkel was able to successfully defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Col. Buck Robley but once the match had ended, PNW Champion Crusher Blackwell attacked both men, laying them out and staking his claim to the World Title. Crusher Blackwell joins Bonema and demands the next shot at the World Championship. Blackwell lists all the men he has taken out including Jay Youngblood and his own cousin Steve Lawler. Blackwell promises to continue his path of destruction until he gets what he deserves.

Frank Dusek and Steven Little Bear defeat Dale Lewis and  “Irish" Mickey Doyle when Dusek pins Lewis after a Swinging Neckbreaker

Crow's Nest interview with Col Buck Robley.  Robley makes no excuses for his World Title loss, saying he just got beat, its that simple, but what Blackwell did wasn't right at all. Robley says  that Blackwell can make all the demands he wants, but Robley is making a demand himself right here and now, he Blackwell in the ring, doesn't even have to be for the PNW Title, he just wants to teach the punk a lesson.

Lumberjack Luke tears apart Lenny Hurst beating him for the 1-2-3 with a Kick to the head

Main Event Two Out of Three Falls:  A wild six man tag team match as Buddy Rose and his army of Baron Von Raschke and Bruiser Bob Sweetan met former World Heavyweight Champion Gene Kiniski , Ricky Martel and the Superfly himself Jimmy Snuka!  Before the match begins Buddy Rose grabs a microphone and says that Ricky Martel might have a guaranteed tag title match against Rose and Raschke, but he doesn't have what it takes to win the titles, no matter if his partner is that dinosaur Gene Kiniski or that barefoot coconut eating savage Snuka. Rose also promises Snuka that soon Snuka will be laid up in a hospital bed right next to his best friend Dutch Savage, because just like Bruiser Sweetan did to Savage, Sweetan is going to drop Snuka on his head with the Piledriver and break his neck.!!! The faces then attack the Army and the match begins. The Army claims the first fall when Raschke pins Kiniski, the second fall goes to Snuka and his team when Martel pins Rose after a Slingshot Splash.

Before the third and final fall Frank Bonema interviews Paddy Ryan in the Crow's Nest. Ryan has some issues with Lumberjack Luke, Ryan feels that the fans pay to see good wrestling, not a wild man who is just out to hurt people, and thats all Luke is. Ryan tells Luke he is going to be watching Luke and if  Luke  keeps trying to injure wrestlers, then Ryan will have to step in.

The closing of the Main Event just breaks apart and ends in a draw as the TV Time limit expires. All six men are brawling all over ringside as the show goes off the air

Been out of touch for a few days between work and watching Chris' son while he stayed at the hospital, but I will be caught up on emails and shows by the end of the week. I hope you guys enjiy this show, I tried to show as much of what is going on in PNW as I could with this show, like a refresher of sorts. I did realize after the show was finished I never touched on the Dan Kroffat/Rudy Kay vs Sweet Daddy Siki/Su[er Destroyer  deal, but I will make sure to get some mention of it in on the next show.

Nice to see Portland back. You do a real solid job with PNW Mario.

Like the 6-man in the ME, but you now have an interesting angle where Snuka can get the job done, but Kiniski failed. Looking forward to more great action.

you mighta missed a fued but. the way i see it, yoa don't need to work every fued on every tv. that just rushes it. not working it and/or maybe just mentioning it is enough to help keep interest and stretch it out..

the attack by blackwell was good.
main event was above par.
