HOLLYWOOD SPORTATORIUM
HOLLYWOOD, FLORIDA
AUGUST 12, 1977 7PM
REFEREE: CORSICA JEAN

Promoted by: CWF
Sanctioned by: NWA

--National anthem

Match 1-

CIEN CARAS/ DENNIS HALL defeat JACK ARMSTRONG/ BLUE YANKEE when Hall locks Yankee in a sleeper.

Time: 13:29

Match 2-

RIC DRASIN defeats HERCULES STEVENSON.

Stevenson catches Drasin in a neck breaker late in the match. Instead of going in for the cover, Stevenson goes to the top turnbuckle. He tries for a diving head butt. Drasin moves at the last second and Stevenson hits hard. Drasin manages to put Stevenson in a pile driver for the win.

Time: 21:00

Match 3-

STEVE KEIRN defeats PAUL DEMARCO.

DeMarco has Keirn in a sleeper late in the match. Keirn positions his head right below DeMarco’s chin. When Keirn drops to his knees, DeMarco’s head pops back. He falls into a corner. Keirn monkey flips Demarco out of the corner. He traps DeMarco in a head scissors and executes a victory roll for the win.

Time: 25:29

Match 4-

THE MANCHURIANS w/ SIR OLIVER HUMPERDINK defeat BOB ARMSTRONG/ EDDIE GRAHAM.

Armstrong and Graham isolate Chief Tio in their corner for the early part of the match. They work on the back and right knee. Armstrong hits a butterfly suplex and goes for the cover. Prince Tapu breaks it up. Graham comes in and Jean pushes him back to his corner. This allows Tapu to chop block Armstrong’s knee.

Tapu and Tio take the left leg of Armstrong and make it virtually useless. Only when Tapu drops his head too quickly does the Georgia native son see an opening he can take advantage of. He kicks Tapu in the head and rolls backwards for a tag. Graham throws both villains through the middle ropes to the floor.

Tio takes an object from Humperdink as they talk on the floor. He puts it in his hand. Eventually, Graham whips Tio into the ropes. Tio hits Graham with a flying punch on the rebound. Graham goes down like he was shot. Tapu holds off Armstrong while Tio goes in for the pin.

Time: 26:38

Match 5-

THE SPOILER/ BUDDY WOLFF/ THE ASSASSIN w/ THE GREAT BOLO defeat DUSTY RHODES/ JIM BRUNZELL/ BOBBY EATON.

The heels take advantage of Eaton’s inexperience in the beginning part of the match. Eaton charges into the corner and tastes The Spoiler’s boot. The Assassin tags in and drops a fist into Eaton’s mid section. Wolff hits a splash from the middle turnbuckle. Eaton barely gets a foot on the ropes when Wolff goes in for the cover.

The match turns when Assassin argues with Jean about a slow count. This allows Eaton to recover and catch Assassin in a scoop slam. Eaton tags in Brunzell. A series of Mexican arm drags gets the masked TV Champ in the faces’ corner. Rhodes comes in and the match becomes a brawl.

The action ends up on the floor. Jean uses discretion and goes to the floor to try to get Brunzell and Eaton away from Spoiler and Wolff and back in the ring. Inside the ring, Bolo has thrown a plank from under the ring to The Assassin. Assassin hits the Dream with it. He pins Rhodes when Bolo gets Jean to turn around.

Love the AZ talent here. Drasin over Stevenson was good.

The Manchurians are just the tops, taking out two legends of the game.

Nice 6-man Main Event. Dusty got screwed, he will get back at that dirty old Assassin!

I agree, it's good to see you using the AZ talent here.

The Manchurians pulled off a big upset, IMO.

Keirn and DeMarco would've been a fun match.

The six-man tag match was great, I like the Spoiler and Assassin together as a team, and I'm a big fan of the Brunzell/Eaton team as well.

Look big daddy, it's regular daddy.

El Mariachi: You want me to shoot the cook?
Agent Sands: No. I'll shoot the cook. My car's parked out back anyway.
