1st Match: Mid-Atlantic Television Championship
Angelo Mosca vs. Mr. #1 Paul Jones
What a match to kick off this huge night of action! Both men are feeding off the huge crowd as they really take it to each other! Mosca has control of the match until things spill outside the ring and he goes for a knee drop but misses! Jones capitalizes and works on the apparent injured right knee of Mosca. Jones rolls him back inside and locks on the Indian Deathlock!!! After trying frantically to escape Mosca has to give it up!!!

3rd Match: Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship
Robert Fuller vs. The Mongolian Stomper
Fuller came into this one not knowing who his opponent would be as it had not been announced! He was really suprised to see the Mongolian Stomper coming down through the sea of people to the ring! Fuller jumps the Stomper as soon as he gets in the ring and the referee calls for the bell! These two know each other well and really take it to another level. The crowd in Roanoke is really hot for this one! These two have been going at each other for several months now in some great matches and this one wouldn't be any different. Referee Tommy Young gets knocked down and Ole goes out for a chair and brings it in the ring he hits Patera and puts the big man down. He then hits Ventura as he comes into the ring knocking him out through the ropes to the stadium floor. Funk takes advantage of the situation and rolls up Superstar hooking both legs for the 1.....2.....3!!!! It looks as if Malenko and The Masked Russian have washed their hands of the Masked Superstar as the two continue the onslaught on the big masked man as Funk leaves the ring! The Masked Russian hits his Hangman's Hold  and then a spike piledriver with help from Malenko!! The two leave the Superstar laying in the middle of the ring as they leave!

WOW! Sizzler is right. Now I know where those sponsors came in.

Great win for Paul Jones in the opener. If I were a fan, I would have thought: Wow, this in the first match. The rest is going to be good.

Love Baker and that heart punch.

Stomper and Fuller being familiar with each other would have given the fans a great match to see.

Nice to see the Briscos get wins.

Steamboat is robbed but payback is heck.

Those sponsors came back with a great money for The Battle Royal.

Hernandez getting a Mid-Atlantic Title shot could lead to something special if the cards are dealt right.

All right, Wahoo! The Chief will take advantage of this, I hope.

Ole and Gene got what was coming to them.

The 'Star is going to be out for blood.

Great night for the fans. Well done, Steve.

The St. Louis Wrestling Club was pleased to have so many of our competitors on one of the best shows in the NWA thus far in '77.

That was an absolutely spectacular card! Congrats to new Mid Atlantic TV champ Paul Jones. Loved Mongolian Stomper making an apperance against Fuller. The last two matches were great. However, the battle royal brought down the house!

Now, to go get my cut of the battle royal money from Tanaka and Von Erich...
