American Heavyweight Champion Fritz Von Erich defeated Professor Toru Tanaka via disqualification when Tanaka threw salt into the eyes of Von Erich, blinding the champ. (18:37) Despite the ringing of the bell, Tanaka continued his attack on the champion, assaulting him until security comes to ringside to restore order. It appeared Tanaka was more interested in hurting Von Erich than taking the title.
