This is a question to all who shall read this post. This is not a knock against Arn Anderson, but I notice in every WWE DVD that I watch, Arn Anderson will speak in a “shoot-style” interview setting and still talk in kayfabe. For example, in the Four Horsemen DVD - Tully, Flair, and JJ Dillon will talk about “bad booking”, “Jim Herd’s dumb ideas”, “Dusty’s newest angle”, “getting over on the fans”, etc. Yet, when Arn Anderson talks, he say’s stuff like “Ole just couldn’t hang anymore”, or “Curt Hennig betrayed the Horsemen but we deserved it because we did stuff like that before”. I also saw it in the “Wrestling Stars of the 80’s” DVD. Tully, Ric, and Arn were talking about a Horseman’s typical day. Ric and Tully spoke of buying expensive cars in real life to play out their larger than life gimmick, yet Arn Anderson talks about “kicking some major league a$$, before going to the gym”. I like Arn, but hearing his side of wrestling lore is a little bit nauseating. Its twenty years after the original Four Horsemen, yet he still talk’s like Bill Apter is conducting an interview for every paying mark in the territory. Does anyone else notice this? Don’tcha think it’s kinda weird? Is Arn drinking his own kool-aid?
