The opening plays, accompanied by Herb Alpert’s A Bandita.  We see short clips of some of the stars that have appeared on Maple Leaf Wrestling over the years, like Whipper Billy Watson, Gene Kiniski, Bruno Sammartino, Johnny Valentine, The Sheik, Jack Brisco and many more.
 
We then join Lord Athol Layton standing behind a podium with the Maple Leaf Wrestling logo on it, behind him, the Maple Leaf Wrestling logo and a big red and green Maple Leaf.
 

 
Layton: "Cheery-O everyone.  Welcome to Maple Leaf Wrestling.  I'm Lord Athol Layton.  I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for inviting us into your homes once again.  We have a great show in store for you today.  Portugese Champion Carlos Rocha will be here.  Billy Red Lyons and Edouard Carpentier will be in tag team action.  And, our main event will feature a HUGE 6-man tag team match, Greg Valentine teams up with the Assassins to face Dino Bravo, the Masked Canadian, and Rufus R. Jones!  There's a lot of bad blood in that match, it's going to be a great contest."
 
The camera pans out, and George Cannon, the Assassins and Greg Valentine are with Layton on the set.
 
Valentine is carrying a briefcase.
 
Layton: I'm joined at this time by the men involved in that main event, Greg Valentine and the Assassins, along with the manager of the Assassins, George Cannon.  Gentlemen, let's take a look back to last week, to see what led to this 6-man tag team match here today."
 
VTR - Last week on Maple Leaf Wrestling
After the match, The Assassins and George Cannon hit the ring!
 
Layton: "What in the World is this?!?!  The Assassins have hit the ring, and jumped on Rufus R. Jones!  This is uncalled for!  Let's get some help out here for Rufus."
 
The two masked men double-team Rufus.  Jones fights back valiantly, but it’s no use, eventually they get the better of him and pound him into the mat!
 
One of the Assassins holds Rufus on the mat while the other Assassin comes off the top rope with a kneedrop, right onto the throat of Jones!
 
Layton: "Oh my!  He came down right on his throat!  Rufus R. Jones' career could be in serious jeopardy, we need some help out here, we need to put a stop to this!"
 
Suddenly, Dino Bravo and the Masked Canadian hit the ring!  They knock Cannon to the ground, then slide into the ring and put the run on the Assassins!
 
After the Assassins and Cannon have left the ringside area, Bravo and the Canadian check on Rufus.
 
Layton: "What a brutal attack.  Greg Valentine, I'm sure you had something to with that.  You should be ashamed of yourself!"
 
Valentine: "Layton, last week I told you and everyone else that I had a plan in place to make sure Rufus didn't make it to Maple Leaf Gardens on August 30!  Well, thanks to Mr. Cannon here and his Assassins, I have a feeling that Rufus R. Jones won't be causing me any more trouble!"
 
Valentine then hands the briefcase to George Cannon.
 
Layton: "Now hold on a second...what's in that briefcase?"
 
Cannon opens it…revealing piles and piles of bills!
 
Valentine: "Layton, $10,000 is a small price to pay to get Rufus R. Jones out of my hair, once and for all!"
 
Layton: "Well you may not be smiling after what I'm about to tell you, Mr. Valentine.  You see, Rufus is alright, and not only will he be at Maple Leaf Gardens on August 30 for the Lumberjack match, but he'll be involved in the 6-man tag team match right here today."
 
The smile fades, momentarily, from Valentine’s face, but he quickly gets over it.
 
Valentine: "You think I'm worried, Layton?  Sure, Rufus may be able to wrestle the match, but after the number the Assassins did on him last week, he's gonna be easy pickings on Thursday night...that is assuming there's anything left of him after this match today!"
 
Valentine and Cannon share a good laugh, then walk off the set.
 
Layton: "I'm not sure about that.  Fans, we've got to take a quick break, but when we come back, Carlos Rocha will be in action."

MATCH #1 - 1 fall, 10 minute time limit:
Carlos Rocha defeats Gary McLaughlin after hitting McLaughlin with three consecutive dropkicks, leading to the pinfall.
 
After the match, Rocha walks over and joins Layton on the set.
 
Layton: "Mr. Rocha, we touched on it last week, but this Thursday night at Maple Leaf Gardens, you will team up with the returning Johnny Powers to challenge the Love Brothers for the International Tag Team Championship."
 
Rocha: "That's right.  This is an excellent opportunity for Johnny and myself, and we intend to make the most of it.  Even though I don't agree with a lot of the Love Brothers tactics inside the ring, or the way they carry on outside of it, I know that they're a very tough team, and Johnny and myself, we have a tough challenge ahead of us.  I'd also like to say that I'm very grateful for the support I've received from these great fans every time I come out to wrestle.  As well, I've had a lot of fans come up to me on the street, and I just want each and every one of them to know how much I appreciate their support.  I hope they'll all be out on Thursday night at the Gardens to support Johnny and myself."
 
Layton: "I'm sure that they will.  Carlos, thank you for talking with us, and good luck to you and Johnny Powers on Thursday night."
 
Rocha: "Thank you."
 
The two men shake hands, then Rocha walks off the set.

MATCH #2 - 1 fall, 10 minute time limit:
Billy Red Lyons & Edouard Carpentier defeat Chris Tolos & Golden Boy Apollo after Billy Red Lyons caught Apollo with a sunset flip, leading to the pinfall.
 
Layton: "An impressive victory for the team of Billy Red Lyons and Edouard Carpentier.  When we come back, we'll talk with Dino Bravo, the Masked Canadian and Rufus R. Jones."

After the break, Dino Bravo, Rufus R. Jones and the Masked Canadian are with Layton on the set.
 
Layton: "Gentlemen, earlier on the program, we heard the comments from George Cannon and Greg Valentine.  It turns out that Valentine was behind the attack on Rufus last week, offering Cannon $10,000 to put him out of action."
 
Rufus: "That's right!  But it didn't work, I'm still standing here!  Valentine, you're a yellow-bellied coward.  The last time we were in the ring together, at Exhibition Stadium, you ran from me, the entire match!  On Thursday night at the Gardens, Valentine, you can't run!  It's just the two of us, and all those lumberjacks on the outside of the ring, they're gonna make sure you don't go anywhere!"
 
Bravo: "Lord, two weeks ago, the Assassins cheated their way to a victory.  Then last week, we had them beat, so what did they do?  They purposely got themselves disqualified!  Today, the three of us are going to make things right, we're going to beat those guys, right in the middle of the ring!"
 
Canadian: "We're ready for those three guys here today, and after we win this match, Dino and I are gonna beat those Assassins on Thursday night, 1 2 3, right in the middle of the ring.  And you know what we're going to do then?  We're going to rip those masks right off their heads!"
 
Layton: "Fans, we've got to take another quick commercial break, but when we come back, it's time for our 6-man tag team main event!"

MATCH #3 - 1 fall, 10 minute time limit:
The Assassins & Greg Valentine defeat Rufus R. Jones & Dino Bravo & The Masked Canadian after Valentine pinned Rufus.
 
Late in the match, Bravo is down and out on the arena floor after taking a brutal beating from both Assassins.  Rufus R. Jones is in a bad way, and tries to tag out...but the Masked Canadian REFUSES TO TAG IN!!!
 
Rufus finally realizes what's going on here, and takes a swing at the Canadian, but he easily dodges it.  For the next few minutes, Rufus is triple-teamed by the Assassins and Greg Valentine!  Rufus tries to fight back as best he can, but it's no use, and Valentine ends up pinning Rufus after one of the Assassins KO's him with a loaded boot!
 
After the match, the Assassins and Valentine continue to triple-team Rufus!
 
Dino Bravo tries to make the save, but the Masked Canadian attacks Bravo from behind and keeps him from helping Rufus!
 
Finally, the babyface locker room empties, and several wrestlers hit the ring to run off Valentine, the Assassins, and the Masked Canadian.
 
Layton: "I can't believe what we've just witnessed!  The Masked Canadian has apparently shown his true colours, turning on his friends Dino Bravo and Rufus R. Jones!  I can't believe this!  We've got to take a quick break, but we'll be right back with more Maple Leaf Wrestling!"

Layton: "I'm joined now by Dino Bravo.  Dino, I'm still in shock at what we've just seen."
 
Bravo: "Lord, I made the mistake of trusting the Masked Canadian, and I paid for that mistake.  But I'm here now to issue a challenge.  Forget about the Assassins, I want the Masked Canadian on Thursday night at the Gardens!"
 
Layton: "Well ladies and gentlemen, Dino Bravo wants a match with the Masked Canadian on Thursday night, and I'm sure Frank Tunney would be happy to give him just that!"
 
"Well that does it for another week of Maple Leaf Wrestling.  Next week, we'll have another action-packed hour of AWA wrestling for you.  We'll see Dino Bravo in action, as well as the Assassins, and Johnny Powers will make his return to Maple Leaf Wrestling TV as well.  All that and much, much more, right here next week on AWA Maple Leaf Wrestling.  Until then, I'm Lord Athol Layton, saying so long and we'll see you at ringside."
