CWF HOUSE SHOW 8/31/77
Aug 31st, 2007, 6:00am

CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING FROM FLORIDA
GLADE CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL
BELLE GLADE, FLORIDA
AUGUST 31, 1977 7 PM
REFEREE: JIMMY TANAKA

Promoted by: CWF
Sanctioned by: NWA

--National anthem

Match 1-

THE AVENGER defeats BUCK FORREST with a bent knee backbreaker.

Time: 12:00

Match 2-

BOBBY EATON defeats JACK ARMSTRONG with a fisherman’s suplex, followed up by a fist drop.

Time: 18:29

Match 3-

BOB ARMSTRONG/ RIC DRASIN defeat GORGEOUS JIMMY GARVIN/ MISSOURI MAULER w/ THE GREAT BOLO

The interference from Bolo backfires in this match. Drasin has his shoulder made virtually useless by Mauler and Garvin. Trying for that last bit of punishment, Bolo calls for Mauler to whip Drasin into the corner. Bolo loads the mask but Drasin reverses. Mauler goes down from a head butt. Drasin tags Armstrong, who hits a high knee lift for the win.

Time: 20:01

Match 4-

FLORIDA TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
THE MANCHURIANS w/ SIR OLIVER HUMPERDINK defeat MIKE and EDDIE GRAHAM by DQ.

Tanaka is caught between a corner splash by Chief Tio and the corner late in this match. While he is down, Tapu takes a chair given to him by Sir Oliver Humperdink. He clobbers Mike Graham, the legal man with it. Eddie Graham, seeing this, becomes a one man wrecking crew. He cleans house, eventually hitting Tapu, also legal, with the chair. Tanaka comes around and sees Graham use the chair. He DQ’S the faces, despite protests by the Grahams and the ringsiders.

Time: 25:37

Match 5:

FLORIDA TITLE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
JACK BRISCO (C) defeats THE ASSASSIN w/ THE GREAT BOLO

Mr. Official I is the referee for this match. The tension between The Assassin and the man he believes to be Dusty Rhodes is evident throughout the contest. Both wrestlers enjoy prolonged advantages here. Brisco works on Assassin’s left knee, while Assassin takes out the champ’s right shoulder for the standing hammerlock later.

That hold comes into play in the deciding of this match. Despite his knee being weakened, Assassin lifts Brisco into the move. His knee gives way, sending Brisco into Official I. The ref is slumped over the bottom rope. Bolo slaps him. The masked ref is incensed. He turns around and sees Brisco has covered Assassin after a butterfly suplex. He counts three in a somewhat quicker form. The Assassin, Unlimited duo is furious, as Brisco and the man in the striped shirt leave.

THe main was the best! The Manchurians look great still! Armstrong & Drasin make an interesting couple.

Bobby Eaton still continues his winning ways.

Awesome main event. I suspect it's only a matter of time before Assasin is able to reveal Mr. Official I. The Grahams were robbed! Eaton continues to impress.
