NACW 9/8/77-9/9/77
Sep 9th, 2007, 10:35am

9/8/77 Page, AZ

Brazo de Oro pins el Olympico in the opener

Masa Fuchi fights MANGLER to a 20 minute draw

Genichiro Tenyru-Terry Gordy, with Lord Alfred Hays pins Solar-Tito Santana.
Hays holds Santana's foot as the referee counts the pin...

el Canek tears up Rocky Johnson and finally pins him.

"Handsome" Jimmy Valiant vs Don Muraco.
a little revenge now for walking out on Muraco during the fight with the Guerreros a few weeks back. Muraco gets hold of him and never stops. Valiant pays good. in 15:14, Valiant is pinned.

Los Guerreros vs Billy Anderson-Cowboy Bob Yuma.
another great match. Yuma gets in plenty of good licks, as does Anderson. the Guerreros fight back hard. in the end, Canek jumps in the ring and causes the Guerreros to be DQ'ed. Muraco-Johnson run in to make the save causing a major melee that ens wth security breaking the guys ups....
-------------------------------------------
9/9/77 Flagstaff, AZ

MANGLER pins el Olympico

Masa Fuchi pins Solar

Brazo de Oro is beaten by Tito Santana

Genichiro Tenyru destroys Gene Ligon

"Handsome"Jimmy Valiant vs Rocky Johnson.
good matchup. plenty of good moments that cultivate by seeing Valiant get sucker punched by the barrage of quick jabs to the jaw by Johnson...he makes the cover and then pins Valiant in 12:11.

Los Guereros-el Canek vs Billy Anderson-Don Muraco-Cowboy Bob Yuma.
HOT six-man action!!! non-stop. this bout goes about 15 minutes before any sort of order is begun...Yuma decks Armando while Anderson is on the floor on top of Canek. Muraco has Chavo in the floor on top of him. before it's over with Yuma pins Armando after a bulldog and then a verticle suplex!!

good shows as always. The combination of Gordy and Tenryu looks to be a good one. This is a bit of an early push for Tenryu though. He was jobbing in SF and GCW up through about '80.

The match description for Muraco/Valiant sounds like a squash but it lasts 15 mins. I'm guessing that Handsome Jimmy ran from the Magnificent one for the majority of the match.
