Announcers Gene Kelly and Rapido Rodriguez    
Sunday 9/16/77    
    
Welcome everyone to SWCW wrestling. I am Gene Kelly alongside Rapido Rodriguez. We have a hot show for you tonight.  Paul Ellering will get his TV title shot tonight as he takes on Dr. Wagner. Jimmy Valiant will be in action. Mil Mascaras/Dos Caras with John Studd  will take on  Swede Hansen/Rip Hawk in a non-title match. Also Larry Zbysko will take on El Canek in a loser leave town match. Canek has taken Bobby Duncum out of SWCW. Canek also has helped to take Big John out. Canek is the man on the move. We now go to the ring for our first match of the night.

Paul Ellering vs. Dr. Wagner (SWCW TV Title 10 min.)
 
“Ellering takes Wagner down and goes to work on his leg. The match looks to be going good for Ellering until Wagner got a finger to the eye. Wagner is now up and has Ellering hurt with a high drop kick. Wagner is now all over Ellering. Wagner shows he is good at what he does and has Ellering hurt. At the 7 min. mark Ellering hit a knee to the face of Wagner. Then Ellering hit a snap suplex. Ellering picked Wagner up and gave him a big scoop slam. Angel runs out and is up at ringside. Ellering moves in and hit a right to the head on Angel. As Ellering goes back to Wagner he is hit with a low blow and the ref called for the bell. Angel and Wagner go to work on Ellering. Tito makes the save.”

Jimmy Valiant vs. The Russian Assassin
 
“Jimmy had his hands full with the big man. The Assassin used his power to keep Jimmy down at first. Jimmy was able to lock on the sleeper for the win”

Gene talks with Jimmy. “Jimmy tells the fans he will be keeping his eye on tonight’s match between Larry and Canek.”

Gene talks with Tito. "Tito tells the fans that he will get a shot at the TV title in the next few weeks. If Wagner keeps the belt then look out. If Ellering gets the title that will be ok with him. This is just work and that after the match is over they will still be friends."

Mil Mascaras/Dos Caras with John Studd  vs. Swede Hansen/Rip Hawk (Non-Title Match)
 
At the start of the match it was told Dos Caras was taken out in the back and will not be able to work tonight. John Studd will take his place.
 
“Swede and Rip work over Mil for a long time. Mil fought back and roll to his side of the ring and John is in. John has both men in hand and as he smashed them face first into each other. John hit a big close line on Rip that had him down. Swede was the legal man and hit a chop block on the leg of John. Swede now kicks at the leg and locks on a good leg hold. Mil and Rip are going at it on the floor.  As the match keeps going Studd got back up and takes Swede down. Swede can’t do much with Studd , Studd has raw power and his size is a huge help.  Both Mil and Rip are going at it on the floor this has been going on for some time. The ref is working to stop the fight on the floor as Swede hot a boot to the gut of Studd. Swede goes for the pile driver but Studd powers out. Studd locks on a bear hug on Swede and this is all for Swede. With the ref working to stop Rip and Mil El Canek comes out with a chair in hand. Canek hits Studd hard to the back of the head and put Swede on him. The ref makes the count 1…2…3!!! Canek comes back into the ring and looks at Studd. Who is the big man now!!!!”

Larry Zbysko vs. El Canek (Loser Leave Town)
 
“Canek is pumped up after he just took out Studd. Canek is now trying to take Larry Z out. At the bell Larry goes to work with chops and lefts and a few rights. Canek does not know what to do. He did not see Larry as any problem. Larry is now working the back and shoulder. Canek was able to put a stop to this with a close line. Canek is now the one who looks so strong. As the match comes to an end Canek takes Larry and sends him into the ropes. Canek hits the other ropes and goes for a shoulder block. Larry drops down and Canek takes the ref down. Big John is out. He has the ring bell. John goes to hit Canek but takes Larry out by mistake. Swede and Rip are out and have John in hand as Canek makes the cover 1…2…NO LARRY KICKED OUT. Canek picks Larry up over his head and drops him into a back breaker across his knee three times. Canek now makes the cover 1…2…NO LARRY GOT HIS FOOT ON THE BOTTOM ROPE!!! Canek does not know what to do. As the ref checks on Larry Canek put something under his mask. Canek hit three head butts. Larry has blood down his face and is out cold. Canek makes the cover for the 3 count and Larry Z is out of SWCW!!!

El Canek takes Larry Z out of SWCW. Now that is news.
 
Loved the Wagner-Ellering contest
 
Great to see Tito in the title hunt.
 
Canek going after Studd. This has to be where Canek has his reign stopped.
 
Love SWCW and where your drafting and booking have taken it.

SWCW is a work in progress. With all the trades in the works and moves I have made I hope the new faces help make us move up. I will have to drop most of my guys from Mexico. Tito is now going to start his slow push up from low to mid card. Thanks guys.

This was definitely an action-packed program, slickric. I liked Tito Santana coming in for the save and helping Precious Paul out. They'd make an unlikey, but fun team against Wagner and the Angel. Jimmy V is still looking great here. It was interesting that John Studd cost Zbyszko the match and ran him out of SWCW, helping Canek by proxy. Was that a coincidence? I guess we'll see in the weeks here after. It's sad to see Larry Z leaving, he's been the star here as long as I've been reading. But I think a new top star will shake things up, which is always good.

I have had alot of people tell me I can pick some way out tag teams. I like to change things up it is fun. I just have way too many names in SWCW and need to cut some of them out. I hope after the draft is over we will see a new SWCW and people like it.
