Tex McKenzie vs. El Canek
“This was the first match for Tex in SWCW. Tex would not back down and gave El Canek a good run. Canek would use the ropes at the end of the match to pick up the 3 count.”
Jimmy Valiant vs. Moose Morowski
“Jimmy was so over in this match. The Fans got behind him early and had him going. Moose caught Jimmy with a boot to the face. Thing now have slowed down. Moose now goes to work on the downed man. We get to see Jimmy fight back into this match and lock on the sleeper for the win.”
Big John Studd vs. Rip Hawk
“It is funny to see Rip going for single gold but in SWCW things like this happen. This is one hard fought match from bell to bell. Studd used his power and Hawk would take the legs out from under the big man. Hawk was so good at working the leg and back of Studd. Hawk made one mistake and walked into a big close line. Studd hit a leg drop. Studd now picks Hawk high above his head and sends hit hard to the ground. Studd locked on the bear hug for the submission.”
After the match Swede hit the ring and has the ring bell in hand. He goes to hit Studd but runs into a boot to the face. Both men are down as Studd stands tall in the ring.
Crusher vs. Dr. Wagner
“Wagner did not know how to stop the Crusher. Crusher was all over him at the bell. As Crusher bit at the head of Wagner you could see the mask rip. That was all Wagner could take and he ran to the back as the ref gave the 10 count. Crusher got the win.”
Break
El Canek vs. Jimmy Valiant
“Jimmy was the first man to get a blow in. Canek is back with chops. Jimmy takes Canek down. Jimmy hit a good suplex on Canek. Jimmy would keep Canek down most of the match. This helped Jimmy keep a slow pace. With the power of Canek in check it looked as if Jimmy would be the man to stop Canek. As Jimmy hit a scope slam on Canek he ran into the ropes. Angel had made his way out and pulled down the tope rope. Jimmy hit had to the floor. The ref did not see this but told Angel to get out from ringside. Canek is now up and sends Jimmy hard to the ring steps. Canek then picks Jimmy up and runs him face fist into the ring post. Jimmy has blood down his face. Canek puts Jimmy back into the ring and works the man over. Canek picks Jimmy up and hit the back breaker for a near 2 count. Canek would load his boot and miss as Jimmy moved. Canek foot goes over the top rope and he hurts his little boys. Jimmy was back up and shacks the ropes. As Canek falls off Jimmy locks on the figure four. Angel is back out and the ref stops him cold. Out of the crowd Dr. Wagner is in the ring. He goes to the top rope and hit a splash on Jimmy. This hurts Jimmy and Canek. Wagner puts Canek on Jimmy. Wagner is out of the ring and gone. The ref turns back and 1…2….3 CANEK has done it , he got the 3 count.”
Big John Studd vs. Crusher
“Both men shack hands before the match. This match was power vs. power. We did not see much wrestling in this one. Both men keep up a fast pace. Either could have got the win. It came down to Crusher missing a splash on Studd in the corner. Studd locked on the bear hug and crusher passed out. The ref called for the bell. Studd checked on Crusher and helped him to the back.”

Big John Studd vs. El Canek
“This was the match the fans had hoped for. El Canek did not look to happy with who he had to face. Both men had been in a war and you could see this from the start. Both men would go back and forth all match. When Canek was on top he would use dirty trick and the ref would almost DQ him each time. Studd was showing us he has heart and would not stay down. The question on the minds of the fans was would Wagner and Angel help Canek reach his dream? The answer is NO as Wagner and Angel ran out Tito and Jimmy Valiant made the stop. Tito and Jimmy fought both men to the back. Canek looked on and as he looked back at Studd he was hit with a boot to the face. Studd picks Canek up over his head and dropped hit face fist over the top rope. Studd picks the monster up and locks on the bear hug. Canek HAS TO GIVE!!!! STUDD IS THE NEW SWCW CHAMPION. Canek rolls out of the ring. The boys from the back come out and pick Studd up as Tito hands him the gold belt.”

Cowboy Bob Ellis/ Chief Kit Fox vs. Grappler #1 & #2
“This was a very hard fought match. The new team of Ellis and Fox worked great together. Fox locked on a toe hold on the Grappler # 2 for the submission.”
Swede/Rip vs. Jerry Oates /Brian Blair
“It was not a good night for Blair and Oates. This was the first match for both men in SWCW and they had to face two very tough men who have a chip on their shoulder. Swede and Rip work as a very strong team and make fast tags. Swede was the man to take down Oates with a brain buster for the win.”
Russian Assassin #1 & #2 with Ivan Kalmikoff vs. Dennis Stamp/ Hangman Harris
“Both teams did not get a good pop from the fans. The fans did pull more for Stamp/Harris a little more only because they stood up for the USA. Harris hit a big close line on Assassin # 1 for the 3 count.”

Cowboy Bob Ellis/ Chief Kit Fox vs. Dennis Stamp/ Hangman Harris
“This was a very fast action packed match. The fans loved the action and showed their love for Ellis and Fox. Ellis hit a slingshot suplex on Stamp for the 3 count.”

"Swede/Rip got the pass to the last match because they are the ex-champions"
Cowboy Bob Ellis/ Chief Kit Fox vs. Swede/Rip
“This match was a blood bath. Swede and Rip came out to fight and did not slow down all match long. Ellis and Fox had two tough matches before this one. Rip took Fox into the corner and with the help of Swede the double teamed him. The end came with a double pile driver on Ellis for the 3 count. Swede and Rip have the SWCW Tag Titles back in hand.
