Wanz was not amused and went to work on ready with his European style. In the end, Wanz impressed everyone by winning with a Samoan Drop! WINNER: OTTO WANZ @5:55 INTERMISSION MATCH #5 Los Hermanos (Mascaras, Caras, y El Sicodelico) vs The von Brauners & Killer Karl Krupp w/Gerhardt Kaiser The brothers dazzle the Germans with high-flying moves. Dropkicks, flying shoulder tackles, arm-drags, fireman carries and the like have the German trio on the verge of defeat. Kaiser tries to interfere, but is headed off by Caras. After several minutes, Sicodelico is caught with a knee by Karl. This leads to a lengthy beating at the hands of all three Germans. Soon, all six men are in the ring battling it out. The end comes when Mascaras gives Kurt a picture perfect cross-bodyblock from the top rope. WINNERS: LOS HERMANOS @22:32 MATCH #6 WWA TITLE MATCH Dick the Bruiser vs Kenji Shibuya w/Gen. George Cannon Bruiser starts the match off with a barrage of punches, kicks, slams, and arm bars. The Asian works his way to his knees. A judo chop to the stomach gives Shibuya the advantage. Kenji chops and kicks his way to a dominate position and applies a nerve hold. Dick is trapped in the hold for several minutes. Apparently, the hold weakens Bruiser's arm to the point that he no longer has use of his left arm. With his arm dangling by his side, Dick begins to come to his feet. Several right hands to the stomach and the Asian Warrior releases the hold. Dick has new life as he continues attacking the mid-section of Shibuya. A clothesline knocks Kenji to the canvas and Bruiser struggles one-armed to the top rope. Dick lands a kneedrop to Shibuya's chest and applies the stomach claw to Jenji. Seeing this, Cannon stands on the ring apron and waves toward the back. Kengo Kimura charges the ring. Cannon is flabbergasted as Kimura is cut-off by Johnny Powers. To save his man's pride, Cannon enters the ring. Bruiser releases the hold and Cannon's face meets Dick's right fist. Shibuya rolls out of the ring and he and Cannon high-tail it to the dressing room. The referee counts to 10 and Dick is awarded a hard fought victory. WINNER: DICK THE BRUISER BY COUNT OUT @29:01 MATCH #7 AWA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH Nick Bockwinkel vs Antonio Inoki Surprisingly, this match starts with a handshake. Both men are cautious for the first few minutes. The combatants exchange hip tosses, arm drags, take downs, head scissors, and abdominal stretches. For each move, the other has a counter. Bockwinkel takes the first advantage after twenty minutes. Headlocks, body slams, knee lifts, and suplexes are but a few of the maneuvers that the champion employs. Bockwinkel throws Inoki into the ropes and applies the sleeper. Inoki struggles to break the hold, but can't. He begins to slump to the canvas. The referee raises Inoki's arm once......twice.........but, no Inoki's arm does not drop a third time. Inoki drops to his back, double kicks Bockwinkel's head to release the hold and hooks the champion's arms. Inoki rolls Bockwinkel into a pinning position and gets a one count. Inoki unleashes all of his weapons upon Bockwinkel. Nick reels from dropkicks, backdrops, chops, kicks to the legs (much like the ones he used against Ali the previous year) and applies the dragon sleeper. The champion immediately struggles to reach the ropes. With each step, Bockwinkel gets weaker and weaker. Soon, Tricky Nicky drops to his knees only inches from the ropes. Bockwinkel falls forward and grabs the ropes. Inoki releases the hold and Bockwinkel slides outside the ring. Nick asks the timekeeper how much time is left, but before he gets his answer, Inoki grabs him and throws him back into the ring. As Inoki returns, he is met with a devastating kick to the head. Bockwinkel lifts Inoki and piledrives the challenger into the mat. The champ covers Inoki for the one..............two...............Inoki kicks out! Nick drops a kneedrop and covers Inoki again. One..............two....................Again Inoki kicks out! Bockwinkel climbs the ropes to deliver the finishing blow, but Inoki gets to his feet and bodyslams Nick from the top rope. The champion struggles to his feet and is caught in the octopus hold. There's no fight left in the champ. The referee raises his hand once.............twice................. ding, ding, ding!!!!!!! Inoki releases the hold and collapses to the mat. Bockwinkel hits the mat like a sack of potatoes. Inoki pulls himself to his knees and raises his arms in victory! The referee gives the ring announcer his decision and raises the hand of Inoki.............(the fans go wild!)........... and Bockwinkel! The 60 minute time limit has expired. This match is a draw. WINNER: NONE-TIME LIMIT DRAW
