Hector Lamas is pinned by Sal Lothario  
 
Genichiro Tenyru, with Lord Alfred Hays is pinned by Perro Aguayo
 
el Signo is pinned by Don Muraco
 
John Tolos is pinned by Miguel Perez
Lord Alfred Hays walks out and observes....
 
AWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: Nick Bockwinkel vs Lord Alfred Hays.
Hays gets his shot at the belt...Bockwinkel is surprised that Hays is this good now..Hays takes no prisoners. he fights hard and wants the belt. this bout goes on for 40 minutes when Bockwinkel catches Hays in a sleeper...ne never lets go..he holds the move and never breaks the hold. he still has it applied when the bell rings signifying that it was 45 minute draw...Hays is out cold and Bockwinkel has defended the title...

--Really good show
--Good wins for Caras & Lothario
--Aguayo, Muraco, & Perez all had strong wins
--His Lordship fought hard, but Bock proved to be better even if it was a draw

I marvel everytime I see Lord Alfred in a match on this board and what could have been.
 
Nice win for Perez.
 
Muraco and El Signo would have been a barn burner.
