Jenkins:  Fans welcome to another great hour of WWA Championship Wrestling.  This week we have an action packed show planned for you.  We will see the semi-final matches in the television title tournament.  We will also see the debut of Pak Song Nam.  We will also see the return of Big Daddy.  Gene, who will we hear from this week in interviews.

Okerlund:  Bob, we will hear from Otto Wanz, Dick the Bruiser, and the finalists in the TV title tournament.  Also, we will see highlights from last Sunday's match between Nick Bockwinkel and Antonio Inoki.  After which we will have an exclusive interview with Inoki.  All of this and a special "Commissioner's Corner" segment.  Speaking of which, let's bring out our commissioner, Les Thatcher.

Thatcher:  This week we have a lot of exciting news to bring to you in this installment of "Commissioner's Corner."  First, I must announce that Johnny Powers has left the WWA.  We wish him well.  His replacement in today's Television Title Tournament match will be the ever popular...Luis Martinez!  Also, I am happy to announce that next Sunday, September 30th, we will hold the tournament to crown new WWA tag team champions.  This tournament will be held in Rochester, New York and will be split into two sessions.  An afternoon and an evening session.  Sixteen teams will vie for the tag team crown.  Already entered are Mil Mascaras & Dos Caras, The Von Brauners, Kenji Shibuya & Kengo Kimura, Luis Martinez & El Sicodelico, Chief White Owl & Billy Red Cloud, and Bobby Bold Eagle & Joe Lightfoot.  I have personally contacted several other top tag teams in the AWA and hope to announce more teams next week.  The afternoon session will also feature a match for the WWA Title as Dick the Bruiser will defend against Austrian great, Otto Wanz.  The evening session will feature the return match for the AWA World Heavyweight Title as Nick Bockwinkel will defend against Antonio Inoki with a 90 minute time limit.  Fans, you do not want to miss this tournament!  And speaking of tournaments, the following Sunday, October 7th, eight of the top Jr. Heavyweights will meet to crown our first Jr. Heavyweight Champion in Dayton, Ohio.  More on that next week.  So, fans, when we return, our first semi-final match fot the TV title will be ready to begin.

MATCH #1

BOBBY COLT  VS  LUIS MARTINEZ

Great opening contest as the action goes back and forth.  In the end, Martinez finishes off Colt with a cannonball.

Jenkins:  Luis, welcome back.  That was one heck of a match.  You are only one match away from being the first WWA TV champion.

Martinez:  Si, yes, Mr. Jenkins.  It was a tough match.  Excuse me for being out of breath.  Next week, I hope to become the WWA TV Champion.  I will defend it with pride each week for my fans.  I don't know who I will face, but I promise to do my best for each of these people out here.  Thank you, Mr. Jenkins.

Jenkins:  Thank you, Luis!  At this time, let's bring in the WWA Heavyweight Champion, Dick the Bruiser!  Bruiser, you had a fantasic match last Sunday against Kenji Shibuya and now you must turn your attention to Austrian super heavyweight, Otto Wanz.

Bruiser:  That's right Bobby.  Seems like every foreigner in the country wants a shot at this title.  I don't know too much about this Wanz.  I know he was champeen over in the old country, but that's about it.  He's big, tough, and is supposed to be a good wrestler.  We'll see how good he is on the 30th.  Until then, I'm busy with the Japs in rematches all over the WWA.  I want to beat 'em real bad.  Nobody is gonna take this belt from me until I retire and that ain't gonna be for a long time.

Jenkins:  Fans, we'll be back with Pak Song Nam in action.

Jenkins:  Fans, the debut of Pak Song Nam is ready in the ring.

MATCH #2

PAK SONG NAM w/Gen. GEORGE CANNON   VS  JOHNNY DeFASIO

The Korean giant destroys DeFasio in under two minutes.  Nam wins with a judo chop to the throat.

Okerlund:  Gen. Cannon.  That was quite a debut from your latest find.  Tell us about his history.  Where did you find him?

Cannon:  Okerlund, where he's been doesn't matter.  It's where he's going that counts.  Pak Song Nam is headed straight to the top.  I see him as WWA champion if Shibuya doesn't win it first.  My Korean giant will destroy all of the so-called contenders here.  I think his first goal will be to take that sock off Mascaras' head and send him and his brothers back to Tijuana.  We will expose him for the fraud that he is.  He's no great champion, he only beats people in the movies.  He's a farce, a sham, a boil on the back-side of wrestling and we will end his career forever.  And Okerlund, his foes will fall faster than the hairs on your head.  Mark my words.

Okerlund: Faster than the hairs...now really.  Fans, we'll be back.

COMMERCIAL

Show resumes with a VTR of the Bockwinkel/Inoki match from last Sunday.

Jenkins:  Fans, I would like to welcome to the announce desk...Antonio Inoki and his interpreter.  Mr. Inoki, last Sunday, you gave AWA World Champion Nick Bockwinkel all he could handle.

Inoki:  Thank you Mr. Jenkins.  Yes, I fought Bockwinkel with everything I had.  The only thing that saved his championship was the time limit running out.  Some have said it was the match of the year here in the AWA.  I do not know about that.  I just know that my honor and pride were not bolstered by the result of the match.  That is why I am so grateful to the honorable Commissioner Thatcher for granting me a rematch with a longer time limit.  Mr. Bockwinkel wrestled well, but I believe I was just alittle better and I believe the same will be true in the rematch.  I will win this match and bring honor to the title.  I will make all of my Japanese fans proud...as well as my American fans. Thank you.

Jenkins:  Thank you.  Now, let's go to the ring.

MATCH #3

BIG DADDY  VS  TONY HERNANDEZ

The huge Brit looks impressive as he wins the match with a big splash.

Jenkins:  Big Daddy, last time we saw you, you were in the Cannon Army.
What happened?

Big Daddy:  Mr. Jenkins, I saw the error of my ways.  I no longer seek the fans contempt.  I seek their approval.  I should have never joined that army.  It was the biggest mistake I have ever made....

At this point, Cannon, Pak Song, Shibuya, and Kimura attack Big Daddy, leaving him in a heap.

Cannon:  No, your biggest mistake was turning your back on the Army!

Jenkins:  Fans, we'll be back!

Jenkins:  Fans, I don't know how bad Big Daddy is hurt, but we'll have a report on his condition next week.  Now, it's time for our last semi-match for the TV Title.

MATCH #4

DOS CARAS  VS  KILLER KARL KRUPP w/Gerhardt Kaiser

What a match!  Caras was spectacular and on his way to victory when Kaiser interfered.  This led to Krupp applying the German claw for the victory.

Okerlund:  Gerhardt Kaiser!  What was that?

Kaiser:  Infidel, how dare you raise your voice to me!  I should let Krupp show you vut  zee claw feels like.  Vee have accomplished 2/3 of our plan.  Vun more match und vee vill control television wrestling.  Luis Martinez, you vill fall to zee mighty power of Germany.  Next veek, Krupp vill be TV champion und zee Von Brauners vill vin zee tag team titles in zee tournament.  Awl of zee muzzerland vill celebrate our victories.  Good-bye.

Okerlund:  Fans, next week, Martinez vs Krupp.  It should be a good one.  Until then, so long from WWA Championship Wrestling.

Martinez is an example that it pays to be good and lucky.

Iam looking forward to that two session tag tournament. It shapes up to be one of the best cards of the year.

Too bad for Big Daddy. I would not want to be Cannon's Army when he recovers.

Inoki is getting his best push yet here. He should pay big dividends here in WWA.

The talent infusion you orchestrated during and after the draft has made this promotion a strong member of the AWA. I wish you continued success.
