Roger Kent welcomes us to another great action packed hour of AWA Midwest All-Star Wrestling.  
 
Kent mentions that this the Midwest TV Title will be on the line in a 2 out of 3 falls match.   Dick Steinborn will defend against Dick Slater, in what Steinborn says will be Slater’s last chance at the title.
 
The AWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Bockwinkel will be in action also, and Percival Pringle III promises that he’s found Blackjack Lanza the ultimate partner this week.    
 
At this Kent would like to welcome his guest as acting as a color commentator this week, the Midwest Heavyweight Champion Pedro Morales.

Pedro Morales is out at the broadcast desk with Roger Kent.  
 
Morales mentions that last week, he didn’t really have time to talk to his fans, but this week he’s here to watch the next contest, which will feature a man, that claims to be the # 1 contender to the Midwest Title.  
 
Kent and Morales sends us to Al DeRusha  for the next contest.

Masked Superstar (With Professor Malenko) defeats Ted Oates with the Cobra Clutch.    
 
Following the match, Superstar refused to release the Cobra Clutch on Oates, which forced Morales charged the ring, and begin beating on Superstar, forcing Superstar to the outside.   Morales turns his attention to Malenko in the corner, and never sees Superstar sneak back in the ring and apply the Cobra Clutch on Morales.    
 
The Superstar has Morales in big trouble, till Dino Bravo, Greg Gagne and Jim Brunzell come flying from the dressing room to make the save.

Dick Slater defeats AWA Midwest Television Champion Dick Steinborn 2 falls to 1 to capture the TV Title.  
 
Fall 1:   Steinborn took the first fall with a submission on Slater following a Boston Crab.
 
Fall 2:   Dick Slater tied the falls with a backslide.
 
Fall 3:   Slater surprised Steinborn with a Oklahoma roll for the 3 count and the title victory.
 
Slater is joined in the ring by Gino Brito Jim Brunzell, Adnan El Kaissie and Greg Gagne as he celebrates his title victory.

Dick Slater in the dressing room with the title.   Slater thanks the fans for all their support and also congratulates Steinborn for a great hard fought match, and he now promises that he will do his best to live up to the high standards of the defending the TV Title.

We return to the studio and the AWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Bockwinkel is standing in the ring with Al DeRusha.   Bockwinkel mentions that he’s here to show the fans, what a great wrestler is all about, and that he’s yet to find suitable challengers to dethrone him.    
 
He continues by inviting everybody to pay attention to the next match, as he will be putting a wrestling clinic.

Al DeRusha is joined in the ring by Percival Pringle III and Blackjack Lanza.    Pringle promises Lanza that his partner this week is just what Lanza needed.   This man is a big, tough and rough man.
 
He then brings out Lanza’s partner, who is “Big” Jim Lancaster.
 
Lanza looks at Pringle and tells him that he better be right, cause he wants to get his revenge on the Tag Team Champions and regain the belts.

Verne Gagne & Adnan El Kaissie defeats Blackjack Lanza & Jim Lancaster, when El Kaissie made Lancaster submit to the Abdominal Stretch..
 
Following the match an enrage Lanza went crazy on Lancaster beating him to a bloody pulp, and screaming at Pringle that this is strike 2.

Kent does a brief recap of today’s program, congratulating the new TV Champion Dick Slater, and also mentions that next week we will have a report on the condition of Midwest Heavyweight Champion Pedro Morales, AWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion, Roddy Piper will be in action plus lots more including the High Flyers taking on the Mighty Yankees, and lots more action.
