MATCH #1

Johnny Kwango  vs  Kengo Kimura w/Gen. George Cannon

Really good opening match as the action swings back and forth.  In the end Kwango pulls out the win with a backslide.

WINNER:  JOHNNY KWANGO @9:43

MATCH #2

Union Jack  vs  Carlos Rocha

The debut of Jack is a successful one.  The Brit wins with a Russian leg sweep.

WINNER:  UNION JACK @4:52

MATCH #3

Pak Song Nam w/George Cannon  vs  Big Red

Song is dominant as Red can't match Nam's brutality.  Nam uses chops, kicks, and nerve holds to weaken the big man.  Nam wins the match after a double-thrust to the throat.

WINNER:  PAK SONG NAM @5:13

MATCH #4

Killer Karl Krupp w/Gerhardt Kaiser  vs  Big Daddy

Daddy surprises Krupp with a very aggressive approach.  Daddy uses a bear-hug as his main weapon.  Krupp eventually escapes and turns the tide with a brutal assault on the big Brit's head and shoulders.  Neck-breakers, suplexes, headlocks, and clotheslines soften up Daddy.  Krupp wins the match after a brief comeback by BD and a missed splash.  Krupp uses the German claw to put away Big Daddy.

WINNER:  KILLER KARL KRUPP @12:17

INTERMISSION

MATCH #5

Mil Mascaras  vs  Kenji Shibuya w/Gen. Cannon

Great contest as Mascaras battles Shibuya's ground attack from the air.  As Shibuya uses throws and tackles, Mascaras counters with dropkicks, head scissors, arm drags, hip tosses, and flying tackles.  The match goes back and forth with both men giving their all.  Mascaras nails a sensational high cross-bodyblock to gain the pinfall victory.

WINNER:  MIL MASCARAS @15:15

MATCH #6

WWA TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
The Von Brauners w/Gerhardt Kaiser vs  Chief White Owl & Billy Red Cloud

The Indians came out firing in this one.  White Owl & Red Cloud worked Kurt's arm with quick tags in and out.  Karl continually tried to get to his partner, but the referee sent him back to his corner each time.  Eventually, the Germans did tag and turned the battle to their advantage.  They worked over the Indians with deceitful tactics and power moves.  The Indians reversed the situation and began to chop the Germans down to size.  The end came when the referee was distracted.  White Owl rolled Kurt up, but was met with a Karl clothesline.  Karl placed Kurt on top of White Owl and cut off Red Cloud from making the save.  Three seconds later, the Champions retain their titles.

WINNERS:  THE VON BRAUNERS @21:55

MATCH #7

WWA HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH

Otto Wanz  vs  Antonio Inoki

These to international greats shake hands to the applause of the crowd.  The first few minutes have both competitors feeling each other out.  Inoki makes the first attempt at offense.  Antonio leg dives Wanz and drops the Champ to the mat.  Inoki chain wrestles Otto, going from an arm bar to a wrist lock to a hammerlock.  Wanz attepts to sit out, but Inoki rides him to keep the advantage.  Inoki moves to the head and applies headlocks, chinlocks, and a cross-face.  Wanz makes the ropes and both men are now to their feet.  Wanz bearhugs Inoki and turns it into a belly-to-belly suplex.  Wanz then goes to work on Inoki's legs.  Wanz drives his knees into Inoki's thighs and settles into a prolonged ankle lock.  Inoki struggles and makes it to the ropes.  Again, both men are on their feet, and all caution is thrown to the wind.  Both men go for broke with every move they have in their arsenal.  Back and forth these two greats push their bodies to the brink of exhaustion.  Wanz goes for the win with a Samoan drop, but Inoki shifts his weight and catches Wanz in the dragon sleeper.  Inoki wraps his legs around Wanz' and sits in deep.  Wanz struggles, but can not free himself.  Wanz is on the verge of submission when the bell sounds to signal the 45 minute time limit.  After a few moments to recover, both men again shake hands to the delight of the crowd.

WINNER:  NONE - 45 minute Time Limit Draw

The best use of Wanz and Inoki in NWA Classic?

Cannon and Kaiser have great stables. The faces have trouble here.

The Von Brauners are looking good in that title defense. Owl and Red Cloud were formidable foes.

Love the Kwango and Union Jack bouts.

Nice action for the Buffalo fans.
