Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling TV Taping 9/3/77:
 
-Show opens with VTR of Ric Flair and Blackjack Mulligan tournament finals match........
These two are certainly no strangers to each other as they start battling even before the bell! Flair gains the advantage after Mulligan misses a leg drop and starts working over Mulligan's right leg. Flair goes for the figure four but Mulligan grabs a small package.....1.......2.......Flair kicks out!!! Mulligan is up but favoring his right leg. He grabs Flair up and goes for a bodyslam but his leg buckles and Flair lands on top of him......1......2......2 1/2......Mulligan kicks out just in time!!! Flair is up slowly and drops a knee on Blackjack's head. He then goes for the figure four again and locks it on this time!! Mulligan is in alot of pain and fights it finally, making it to the ropes causing Flair to have to break the hold! Flair grabs Mulligan and helps him up and delivers several chops to his chest before whipping him into the ropes. Flair goes for a clothesline but Mulligan ducks and tries for a clothesline of his own but Flair ducks as well! Flair chop blocks Mulligans right leg from behind coming off the ropes and as Mulligan rolls over Flair's back, Flair hooks both legs....1......2......3!!!!!

-Bob and David are at ringside with the New U.S. Heavyweight Champion "Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Flair is dressed to impress with a nice suit on and he is in rare form! He spins around showing off his new suit and tells the fans that the "Man"....their U.S. Champion.......is here! He talks about his tournament victories and how Blackjack put up a great fight but, in the end was no match for the "Nature Boy"! He says now that he has "his" title back that he has no plans on losing it. Flair says he will take on all comers! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
 
-TV MATCH 1- Don Kernodle and Robert Gibson defeat Rick Link and Jerry Monti after Gibson bulldogs Monti @5:34
 
-TV MATCH 2- New comer Jake Roberts defeats Mike Davis in a tough one after a knee lift @6:01
 
-Bob interviews Blackjack Mulligan who says that he wants another shot at that U.S. Title, even more so another shot at Flair! He says that Flair definitely hasn't seen the last of him!!
 
--TV MATCH 3- Mid-Atlantic Television Champion Mr. #1 Paul Jones defeats Pete Sanchez after an airplane spin @4:56
 
-Bob interviews Jones after his match and he says that with all the new faces here in the Mid-Atlantic that he is looking forward to defending his TV Title against any of them! He says he is a fighting champion and is willing to take on anyone!
 
-TV MATCH 4- Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Tully Blanchard defeats Missouri Mauler with the sleeper hold @7:21
 
-Following the match Blanchard is attacked by Lars, Ole and Gene Anderson! Lars gives instructions to deliver a double gut buster to Blanchard! They continue to put the boots to Tully until out come Ricky Steamboat and Jay Youngblood for the save!
 
-Bob is with the Andersons at the desk..........Lars says that he just made his announcement of which title he wants!!! He says the young punk Blanchard better step his game up because he plans on taking the Mid-Atlantic Title........as Bob Caudle signs off!

Man, Tully is going to need his "A" game against Lars. Hope he has it in him.
