Fred Ward and Jim Carlisle host the show from WRBL 3 TV in Columbus, GA.

Fred Ward: Hello, wrestling fans and welcome to Georgia Championship Wrestling’s Superstars of the Superstation. At this time I’d like to welcome my co-host Big Jim Carlisle who will tell us about what we will be seeing on today’s show.

Jim Carlisle: thanks, Fred, today’s show will be featuring 3 huge bouts that took place this past Monday night in the Macon Coliseum. We will see the popular Indian star Danny Littlebear take on the “Cajun Cowboy” RT Tyler, in 6 man tag-team action we will see Ron Fuller, teaming with his cousin Roy Lee Welch, and the man that the fans are raving about “Mr. Action” Mike Jackson taking on the rugged duo of the Red Raiders and their partner the power house Silvano Sousa. In our Main Event we will see Mr. Wrestling and Mr. Wrestling 2 defend the Georgia Tag-Team Championship against the challenge of former champions, Dirty Don Bass and BlackJack Laine, who will be accompanied by their new manager Sputnik Monroe. In addition to this we will see one of the hottest stars in the AWA today Tito Santana taking on Dennis Stamp in a match that recently took place in SWCW. We will be going to Montreal to see the young second generation superstar Jacques Rougeau Jr. take on the veteran Fred Peloquin. We will be going to Memphis to see a battle of the big men as the “British Bomber” Pat Roach takes on Sugar Bear Harris. And that’s not all as we will also be seeing the World Tag-Team Champions the Love Bros. in action against the living legend Eduard Carpentier and his partner the very capable Steve Bolus.

Fred Ward: Fans, this is a show that you will not want to miss. So call your family, friends, and neighbors and tell them to tune their TV’s to Superstation 17 for the next two hours. Right now let’s go to Montreal for our opening match which will feature Jacques Rougeau Jr. taking on Fred Peloquin.

Jim Carlisle: Peloquin is a tough customer who has patterned his style after that of our own Mad Dog Vachon.

1st Match of the Evening
Jacques Rougeau Jr. v/s Fred Peloquin
Jacques Rougeau Jr. defeated Fred Peloquin with a flying body block in 4:00

Fred Ward: Jacques Rougeau Jr. looks like he’s more than ready to begin filling the shoes of his father Jacques Rougeau Sr. and his uncle Johnny Rougeau. We expect to see more from Jacques Jr. and his brother Raymond in the near future. Now let’s head to the Macon Coliseum where Charlie Platt and Ed Capral are ready with the call of the action.

2nd Match of the Evening
Danny Littlebear  v/s “Cajun Cowboy” RT Tyler

Littlebear thrills the fans as he rips into the Cajun Cowboy with hard tomahawk chops. Littlebear whips Tyler into the corner and charges in. He gets caught with a big back elbow from Tyler. Tyler picks Littlebear up for and delivers a bone jarring body slam. Tyler backs into the corner and comes out with a flying elbow drop. The Cajun Cowboy picks up another victory.

Official Decision: “Cajun Cowboy” RT Tyler defeated Danny Littlebear
.

Freddie Miller enters the ring to interview the winner.
Freddie Miller: I have to say that was an impressive victory, Mr. Tyler. But where is your manager Sputnik Monroe.

RT Tyler: First, I’m always impressive. Ron Fuller, I hope that you were watching because I’m going to beat you the same way that I beat that Indian when I get my hands on you. You’re time is over Fuller. Second, Sputnik is in the back getting Bass and Laine ready for the title match tonight. I suggest that Mr. Wrestling and Mr. Wrestling 2 prepare themselves to take a beating, because that is exactly what is going to happen.

Freddie Miller: Mr. Tyler certainly has a right to his opinion, but so do Ron Fuller and the Georgia Tag-Team Champions.

Freddie Miller gives the run down for the October Omni show.

Fred Ward: That is an incredible card that we’re bringing to the Mecca of professional wrestling the Omni. I tell you the Omni is the home of the NHL’s Atlanta Flames and the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks and every other major attraction that comes to Atlanta but their biggest attraction is Georgia Championship Wrestling and this card is a perfect example of why that is. Jim, what do we have up next?

Jim Carlisle: We have a message from the man who will be challenging Ricky Gibson for the Georgia TV title on October 12th. The self proclaimed “King of Wrestling” Jerry Lawler.

Lance Russell: Jerry Lawler, with all that you have going on here in the CWA why are you headed to Georgia Championship Wrestling.

Jerry Lawler: Banana Nose, only a man of your limited intelligence would ask such a question. Georgia Championship Wrestling is seen all over the world on Superstation WTBS. All of the top wrestler’s in the world compete there except one Jerry “the King” Lawler. Georgia Championship Wrestling have shown themselves to be very insecure and very rude in not inviting the King to appear on their TV show. I’m the greatest wrestler in the world today without question and yet Ricky Gibson goes on TV week after week with the TV title and there are people who actually believe that he’s the AWA’s top attraction. Goofy Gibson,  can lay claim to being one of the best in the AWA but to allow people to believe that he is the best is just wrong, because I am the King of Wrestling. I’m going to make Georgia Championship Wrestling pay for treating me so rudely, by going to Macon, Georgia next week and taking the TV title from Goofy.

And then at the Omni on October 12th I’m going to prove once again why I am the King by giving Gibson the beating that he deserves.

Lance Russell: There you have it, Jerry “the King” Lawler is headed to Georgia Championship Wrestling to challenge Ricky Gibson for the Georgia TV title.
He’s going to have his hands full with that one.

Fred Ward: Has there ever been anyone in wrestling more arrogant than that Jerry Lawler. I’m going to be looking forward to Ricky Gibson giving Lawler what for in the weeks to come.

Big Jim Carlisle: Don’t make any mistake, Jerry Lawler can pretty much back up everything that he says and I’m expecting his matches against Ricky Gibson to showcase two of the best and brightest stars in the AWA today. Now let’s go to Memphis, TN for some great CWA action as Sugar Bear Harris managed by Tojo Yammamoto takes on the judo champion, “British Bomber” Pat Roach who is managed by Lord Jonathon Raven.

3rd Match of the Evening
Sugar Bear Harris w/ Tojo Yammamoto v/s “British Bomber” Pat Roach w/ Lord Jonathon Raven

Sugar Bear Harris comes to the ring, accompanied by Tojo Yamamoto and he is to face off with European champion Pat Roach. Roach comes in and looks very impressive against the big bad Bear, but like all the rest, he can’t get Harris off his feet. The Sugar Bear finishes things off with a huge splash in the corner and he pins Roach for the 1-2-3.

Official Decision: Sugar Bear Harris defeated Pat Roach

Fred Ward: Sugar Bear Harris is a big, bad man who appears ready to really make a name for himself in the AWA. He’s going to be at the Omni on October 12th taking on one of the most exciting stars that Georgia Championship Wrestling has to offer the “Sensational Samoan” Ati Tago and that should be a great match up.

Big Jim Carlisle: I’ll agree with that. There you have two big men who will be looking to pick up a win and move up in the AWA rankings. Let’s take a look at the entire 9 match line up for that card now.

Freddie Miller gives the run down for the October Omni show.

4th Match of the Evening
Ron Fuller, Roy Lee Welch and “Mr. Action” Mike Jackson v/s Red Raiders and Silvano Sousa

The “Sensational Samoan” Ati Tago was originally scheduled to team with Ron Fuller and Roy Lee Welch tonight but he had transportation problems and couldn’t make it. So Georgia Championship Wrestling went out and got the man that the fans are raving about “Mr. Action” Mike Jackson to team with Fuller and Welch. This match is filled with action right from the opening bout. The Southern Stud looks especially good tonight. He may be looking to send a message to the Cajun Cowboy as he punishes the 300lb Silvano Sousa forcing him to submit to the Fuller Leg Lock.

Official Decision: Ron Fuller, Roy Lee Welch and “Mr. Action” Mike Jackson defeated Red Raiders 1 and 2, and Silvano Sousa.

Freddie Miller enters the ring to interview the winners.

Freddie Miller: Ron, RT Tyler had some strong words for you earlier.

Ron Fuller: You know, Freddie, RT Tyler has been running his mouth about how he’s going to be the one to take me out before he even got here. And next week he’s going to get the chance to prove to the world just how big and bad he really is, because we’re going to have a 6 man tag with Roy Lee, Gypsy Joe and myself taking on Tyler, Laine and Bass. Tyler is going to have to prove that he can do more than run his mouth.

Freddie Miller: You and Roy Lee have a big match coming up at the Omni.

Ron Fuller: I’ve never seen a show as loaded with great matches as the one coming up next Friday night at the Omni. And our match is one that I’m especially looking forward to. It’s going to be me and my cousin taking on the Vachons. If we come out the winners in that 6 man match and then do the same against the Vachons, and I believe we will, promoters across the AWA are going to have to start viewing us as serious challengers to the World Tag-Team titles.

Freddie Miller: Mike, let me get a few words from you if I can. You and Paul Christy have been having some problems with James J. Dillon and “Bruiser” Bill White.

Mike Jackson: First, I want to thank the fans for all of their great support. They have really taken me in and I appreciate it. Now, Dillon and White stole a victory from the Golden Boy and me the last time we met. We’re ready now and next Monday night right here in Macon we’re coming for some payback. At the Omni on the 12th I’m matched up against Otto Von Heller. This gives me an opportunity to test myself against one of the meanest, toughest men in wrestling and that kind of talent is what you have to face in order to establish yourself in this sport.

Freddie Miller: Alright, thanks guys and good luck.

DON’T MISS IT, BE THERE

Fred Ward: If you’re anywhere within the vicinity of Atlanta, you want to make sure that you get to the Omni, on Friday night, October 12th. It’s just going to be an incredible show.

Big Jim Carlisle: The Vachons v/s Ron Fuller and Roy Lee Welch is of particular interest to me because the winners will have to be considered top contenders to the World Tag-Team titles. Let’s go now to Maple Leaf Wrestling to see the World Tag-Team Champions defend their titles against the legendary Eduard Carpentier and Steve Bolus.

5th Match of the Evening
World Tag-Team Championship Match
© “Handsome” Hartford and “Rotten” Reginald Love w/ Beautiful Bruce v/s Edouard Carpentier and Steve Bolus

The Love Brothers defeat Edouard Carpentier & Steve Bolus in a Non-Title match after Bruce Swayze trips Carpentier from the floor, then Reginald drops a knee onto the back of Carpentier’s head, leading to the pinfall.

Big Jim Carlisle: The Love Brother’s are a great team or they wouldn’t be the World Tag-Team Champions, but when they finally are forced to face some of the great teams in Georgia Championship Wrestling we are going to find out just how good they really are.

Fred Ward: Let’s go to our Main Event. The Georgia Tag-Team Championship is on the line with Mr. Wrestling and Mr. Wrestling 2 defending the titles against former champions Dirty Don Bass and BlackJack Laine with Sputnik Monroe in their corner.

Main Event of the Evening
Georgia Tag-Team Championship Match
© Mr. Wrestling and Mr. Wrestling 2 v/s Dirty Don Bass and BlackJack Laine w/ Sputnik Monroe.

It didn’t take long for this match to get completely out of control. With the teams fighting inside and outside the ring and neither team willing to return to the normal tag-team format referee Bobby Simmons was forced to rule this match a DDQ. Mr. Wrestling and Mr. Wrestling 2 retain the Georgia Tag-Team Championship.

Fred Ward: We’re all out of time. Join us back here next week for another exciting edition of the GCW’s Superstars of the Superstation.

If it's nothing else it's colorful. The pink looked like a red on the color board but I'm just going to leave it as it is.

Looks to be an exciting evening of action in the Omni on the 12th. It's too bad that the King will be ending the career of such a talented youngster like Ricky Gibson. Wink

Harris and Togo could be a great match. Both men are looking to establish they are as tough as they come so it could steal the show.

I like the Fuller-Welch clan vs. the Vachons and the Patterson-Muraco matches. the rest of the card also looks solid.

I certainly enjoyed the card. I had forgotten you were using the Jacques match from Montreal so it was a shock when I saw it. It was very flattering to see Montreal action on Georgia TV.

I really liked this show!

Tyler looked good against Littlebear. Not familiar with him but I'm looking forward to learning about him.

I loved the tag match with Wrestling I & II. I can't wait for the re-match with Sputnik's boys.

Fuller, Welch, and Jackson are just the type of Old South action that TBS had at this time IRL. Loving it.

Those matches from the other territories would have been must watches for me.

Great job, Red.

thanks for the feedback, I can't believe that I left Tito off for two weeks in a row. He will definitely be featured next week.

RT Tyler is Randy Tyler. He worked Gulf Coast teaming with Rip Tyler and Rocket Monroe. He then went to CWF and teamed with Bobby Jaggers in the early 80's. Jaggers and his cousin "Cajun Cowboy" RT Tyler managed by Lord Alfred Hays were the top heel team in CWF at the time and received plenty of coverage in the Apter mags.

I once saw Bill Watts promise a match on MSW 4 times before it finally aired because "they kept running out of time for it", and that was IRL, so don't feel too bad Red.  Grin
